Yeah, well you're just a regular you know what!

Actually, you could say the same thing about Budokai if you want to generalize like that.

PPP>PKE SPECIAL.

Tenkaichi actually has quite the diversity, almost every character has their own specific attribute to their power blast, different combos and mix up. Literally, like there is a HUGE difference between Vegeta SS1 Part 1 and Vegeta SS2 part 2.

It's like saying Ryu and Ken are the same exact thing.

By the way, I agreed with you that IW was a good game, in case you missed my post

I like Infinite World too, mainly because Dragon Rush annoyed the hell out of me. Also, I like how the Ultimates can be used freely, and GT designs FTW!

I do miss Beam Struggles though.

I kinda want to stay up for it, just for the sake of being appalled with whatever stupid show is on before GTTV like I usually am every single year.

Having just beat the fourth dungeon in Oracle of Seasons i'm not feeling it all that much, these dungeons are designed in a manner to aggravate you further if you get lost/can't find where to go/are backtracking/returning to the boss room.
It all stems from the fact that the game demands you repeat tasks in rooms where the doors shut on you, how many times did I murder a particular group of three wizrobes today? too many times. The warp point in the fourth dungeon can be useless at times when the minecarts stay where you left them making them one way routes, in fact screw the mine carts in general.
The next half of this game needs to step it up, I just feel like i'm playing the poor mans version of Link's Awakening with a focus on the not so enthralling 2D Zelda combat.
That's rather interesting that you say that. With that said, I did find some of the issues you'd mentioned troubling in my last run of Seasons a few years ago.

With that said, I still think LA is the best of the bunch with respect to the handheld Zelda. It's structured oh-so-very-nicely, the balancing's good, the puzzles are great (and I remember Dungeon 7 making all of us stumped until someone looked it up in his Nintendo Power guide, making all of us feel stupid), and the music/script are great. Seasons/Ages are good, but I just have that fondness for LA in that I think it's the better balanced of the GB/GBC games.

LOL

new avatarrrrr

Your avatar has gone a new level beyond derpiness.

Well yeah... that was Seasons' thing. Seasons was focused more on combat, where Ages was more focused on puzzles. That said, I consider the latter half of the dungeons in Seasons to be far better than the former half. Dem Magnetic Gloves.

I'm a few hours in to Secret Rings.

These are the worst controls in any game, ever.

I just spent 25 minutes (not including my many deaths, I assume) collecting dinosaur eggs and placing them in nests.

I'd rather be playing Sonic 2006.

I moved my CRT next to my HDTV and my sister is playing Sonic Heroes while I rage at Secret Rings. Secret Rings makes Heroes look like fucking Super Mario Galaxy in comparison. Just glancing over it looks a hundred times as appealing with its colors and 60FPS. Then I try it for a few minutes and marvel at how easy moving around and homing attacking is.

Noi, you were completely right, I should have just used it as a coaster. I can't believe I saw people recommending this game as a return to the Genesis glory days back when it came out.

I would rather replay all of '06 two more times before playing Rings again.

I hate say I told you so, but...

Secret Rings is fascinating in that it is a game that makes you unlock better controls.

And by fascinating I mean terrible.

Just finished playing some Sonic Heroes. It's kind of fun, surprisingly. The Speed formation controls are improved over the SA games and the Power and Flight formations aren't too bad. The big problem I have with the game is the stages are too damn long.

Espio is the best Sonic friend. Vector gets a pass. Charmy can die in a fire.

See this is how it starts PK, it's all looking like smooth sailing but believe me, a storm is brewing, just how prepared are you to weather this
robot
storm?

This is really my only issue with Heroes, since I like the base gameplay a lot. The length of some Team Dark/Chaotix stages is brutal.

15+ minutes, I don't remember which level, I just know it was Team Dark.

I remember being shocked at the time that the timer didn't kill me after 10:00, although was slightly relieved at that. And yeah, I like Sonic Heroes, but those levels do get pretty long.

In fact, I think I didn't like the casino area (I remember the casino annoying me quite a bit I think) and the area with nothing but rails, but other than that I got through the game just fine back in 2003.

I actually thought that the Speed formation had far worse controls than both Sonic Adventures, especially Sonic Adventure 2.

I would like Sonic Heroes a lot more if it simply had better controls. That's the game's fatal flaw, in my eyes.

Surprising amount of love for Heroes! I liked it too, but SA2 felt much tighter. Overall not a bad game, though. At least it went back to more classic Sonic environments
