Sony 2004 Holiday Demo Disc = FREE GAME!

Sony is offering a FREE GAME to anybody who has had their memory card erased with the Viewtfiul Joe 2 demo on the Playstation Underground 2004 Holiday Demo Disc. After calling the Sony support line (1-800-345-7669) and talking to a representative all you have to do is send them your demo disc and a note with your address and what game you want. You don't even need to proove that your card was erased. All you need is the demo disc, which I just got in the mail like 3 days ago. Here's the list of games, which includes some great titles.

*Wildarms 2
*Parapa The Rapper 2
*Gran Tursimo 3
*JAK 2 (not sure)
*SLY 2
*NCAA 2004
*MLB 2004
*ATHENS 2004
*ATV3
*Hot Shots Golf: Fore!

I would have taken Ratchet and Clank 2 but they are not offering it. Instead I took Hot Shots Golf Fore! What a great offer!

But worth posting again. Gonna call in later and getting Hot Shots Golf Fore. It's cool Sony is even doing this

You may want to make sure that the disc you got actually has the VJ2 demo on it. There's actually two versions of the disc that got sent out. One of them is the one with the VJ2 Demo Of Doom on it, and the other is one they started sending out after everything blew up, which is missing the VJ2 demo. I got my demo in the mail about two weeks ago, and it's the second version, meaning that I can't exactly send in the disc while claiming that a demo that isn't on there wiped out my card...
 
Hmn, they didn't ask for my PS2 serial number, or give me an order #, while other people were asked for them. Weird. HSG4 in a couple weeks though, woo.

My memory card didnt get wiped out though thanks to the warning on this forum. And if it did, no big deal. I have my save games backed up on my PC

did you just call and ask for a free game? Like "Hey i heard that if my memory card got wiped i can get a free game from you guys?".
 
I just said I received the demo disc, it wiped out my memory card and was aware that SCEA is giving a free game because of this bug (of course it didn't wipe out my memory card, but hell I can't pass a free game)

Besides, I think SCEA is suppose to test the games first...how can something like this get pass over testing
 
Just got off the phone with SCEA and it well its nice that i have three discs. I'm getting me some Sly 2 lovin maybe. Got one down two more to go.
 
Fuck...I threw that demo out after it fucked my memory card over.....



I just got owned again.

Hot Shots is still going for 40 bucks, SLY 2 has been going for 20 new in some stores. So walmart and taking back Hot Shots is a great idea in my book.
 
I got two demos today, and one of them even had two copies of the demo in it. But none of them had the VJ2 demo :(
 
i call last night and they update the game list now, can't remember all but here is what in my head:
*dark cloud
*dark cloud 2
*amplitude
*downhill domination
*jak and daxter(first one)
*rantch and clank(first one)
*... and more cant' remember
 
They must be running out of games I suppose. Dark Cloud 2 would be the best game out of that bunch

update? WTF more like downgrade. I don't even feel like calling anymoer. The only 2 good games on that list are AMP and R&C, and i already have them.
 
Just got my HSG4 game. They punched a hole through the case though, where the UPC bar code is at. But they punched a hole THROUGH the dvd case and the instruction manual. Argh bastards. Oh well, free game for me

I got my copy of Sly 2 and I have the hole, but its on the wrong side of the UPC :lol

Nice try Sony! I win!
 
i recieved my copy of dark cloud 2 today and it was open, (( is it a preowned copy i don't know))) and they did punch a hole on the upc code, and now i felt stupid because i just order the game at overstack.com and now i have two copy of the game, and also i have another demo disk with vj2 on it don't know if i should sent it in or not...
