That's the headline at linked article, which also happened to be the top tech news story at Google when I happened to load it.

Reading the article, it seems that China just really sucks at English. Still, just in case they copied and pasted the headline--has anyone heard anything new from Sony in the last few days? (post the Wintel backing of HD-DVD). Just wanna make absolute sure there's nothing to this, as Sony dropping Blu-Ray would be about 9 million megatons at this point.

I'll give the writer the benefit of the doubt here and assume that Sony will be supporting HD-DVD format in their players, i.e. both BRD and HD-DVD will be readable.
