Wow, picked up this record yesterday. What a pleasant surprise! The reason I delayed picking up their ST is... because they opened up for Franz. :lol I know, shallow.

I thought it was more of the same (new wave leanings, post punk, yada yada), but NO SIREE. Delicous melodic pop/punk from the 70's. Some great songs like "Meantime" and "Carnival Kids" and "Alms".

I mean, they channel pieces of WIRE here and there, how fucking cool is that?

Cheers to these guys for suprising!

Been listening to it constantly. Sampling the Sanford and Son theme for "Uraqt" is pure genius.

Hehe, I actually bought their CD hoping it would be GOOD new-wave post punk type music. Even though this was not the case, it's a great album.

YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DOING

The Futureheads are one of my newest favoritest bands. Every song is a winner. Including the acappella song they do.

She's basically be described as a female version of Dizzee Rascal. The album samples a ton of songs. What Happened to That Boy, When Doves Cry, Sweet Dreams are Made of These, The Sanford and Son theme ect. Really cool stuff.
