These days I keep my Netflix sub mainly for foreign content, mostly Korean, and so Netflix alerted me to this movie and it looks pretty cool. Thought I'd share with GAF.
Yeah the one thing I love about kdramas is that you won't see any identity politics being shoved down your throat or so I thought. I remember last year there was a drama called Itaewon Class that had a lot of buzz and I liked 2 of the actors so I watched it and the first episode was really good and seem to set up this awesome revenge story but as the episodes went on it got less and less interesting and then they had black and trans characters that got discriminated against and championed, and granted Korea probably could use a little of those kinds of lectures, but as somebody that gets it beaten into my skull almost 24/7 in Western media I wasn't a fan, but I mean the drama could've still been good even with it but ultimately it devolved into something not that interesting and the main guy ends up with the wrong girl to boot, so i felt like I wasted my time a bit. Hopefully this won't become a trend but it probably will as Kpop and Kdramas are becoming increasingly popular in the West and Netflix is funding a lot of Kdramas these days so...Not enough black people inside there lol

The lack of forced diversity in Korean shows is a breath of fresh air.
