Superman-V.com talked to Evolution Effects Studios founder and creative director/president Brian K. Hillard about his work on McG's Superman movie, and he mentions possible characters in X-Men 3 and Spider-Man 3 as well. Here are several clips:

Q: From the upcoming slate of movies based on material from comic books which one are most looking forward to and why? Ghost Rider, V For Vendetta, Watchmen, Sin City sequels, Spider-Man 3, X-Men 3 etc.

BH: V for Vendetta big time, Watchman; I'm a big Alan Moore fan, I loved the first Sin City - the next should be a blast as well. I worked on X-Men 3 for a little stint and the stuff for that looks great. I also worked on all the Spiderman 3

stuff at Steve Johnson's till we lost that show as well - however, I am excited to see what they come up with, I'm a big Spiderman fan as well. They need to make a film based on the new Image Zombie series "The Walking Dead", and I am really excited about the "30 Days of Night" that is on the way based on the IDW comic written by the bad ass Steve Niles. I'm a big comic book geek and could go on for hours talking about this stuff!!!

Not too sure what to think of that. :\ They should have introduced the character in 3 and then had Spider-Man fight him in 4 imo.

That really means very little though. It's the villain the fans want to see the most and the studio and him know this.
 
They said wait until the end of the year to get the revelation. So start waiting, bish!
 
I want a fucking battle royal dammit. I'm tired of watching these comic book movies featuring only one or two villains.

Why Raimi doesn't go ahead and put the greatest Marvel character in the history of mankind(Venom) in there is beyond me. If Venom is ever confirmed, I'm camping at my theater the next day...

As long as they do it right. Little changes to the story I can take and it annoys me when people bitch about stupid things, but if they did something dumb and used the Ultimate storyline or didn't even have Peter wear the suit.. ugh.

During an interview this weekend promoting Elizabethtown, Kirsten Dunst confirmed rumors to Zap2it that Thomas Haden Church will play Sandman and Topher Grace is Venom in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, opening in theaters on May 4, 2007.

"We have really great people though as the villains in this film, Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace --
Venom and Sandman
," said Dunst, who plays Mary Jane Watson in the Spidey films.

"Maybe I wasn't supposed to say that," she added before reversing her claim. "It's the other way around. You're right," she conceded to a journalist.

Dunst has yet to receive a script for the third film that will begin shooting in January. "But I know the general story. There's a lot that they're trying to fit into this one."

why do people put spoiler warnings on the villians? Like someone is somehow going to be able to avoid knowing who they are until the day they watch the movie?
 
I'll wait until official confirmation. Dunst said before part 2, that Dock Ock and the Lizard were gonna be in it. And yes, I know Dr Conners is the lizard.

Uh, Flash is not Venom.
 
Eddie Brocks' name was been mentioned in one of the movies. Maybe a pre-venom cameo is what we'll get. I'd rather have that than an underdevelpoed Venom ala Bane in Batman and Robin.
 
Question:

As Ninja Scooter stated, why do some of you put the villain(s) in spoiler tags? Do you think if you see a trailer it won't show them? Does it really spoil something?
