Splitgate is launching on PC and consoles later this month on July 27, and it's dressed up for the occasion. Yes, Splitgate has received a massive graphics overhaul, and you can see the old vs. the new in this comparison video. A pre-beta demo also launches today for PC.

The open beta for Splitgate is available now and features cross-play and cross-gen gameplay on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Check out the latest trailer for the online portal shooter ahead of Splitgate's launch on July 27, 2021, for PC, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

The open beta includes a sneak peek at one of the new maps coming at launch on July 27, a limited-time beta battle pass with 10 free tiers of unlockables available to earn only during beta, a new game mode called Showdown, and more.

Jesus, this plays beautiful - considered it's just a beta. Nice mixture of Halo, Quake and Unreal Tournament.

Apart from that, they need to push the rez….game seems to be stuck in PS4 amateur mode.

yep, it has a One X patch tho and seems to run at native 4K on Series X (not sure if it is dynamic and goes below that on One X)

the portal resolution is super low tho, and even on PC in max settings it ridiculously blurry

Game is pretty fun from what I've played after waiting in a queue for 40+ minutes. Going to wait for that to be sorted. The visuals do need to be improved though.
