ferrets ferrets ferrets ferrets FERRETS!!!
Hello,
As I've murmured here in the past, I'm in the process of creating a website devoted to the collection of old game/computer magazines.
I have the impression that the best way to set up such a site is to have all the magazine data (release stats, image URLs, cover subjects, descriptions, sort of thing) in an SQL database and use PHP to dynamically call information from this database. It'd also let me put a search function on the site, which would be cool.
The problem is, I have no idea where to begin with the implementation of all this. I can deal with HTML and style sheets and stuff like that, but the stuff I've read so far on PHP all seems over my head. Does anyone know any hot places with tutorials or example code or downloadable software to let me do what I wanna do? Or, for that matter, does anyone have any suggestions in general?
