Oh yes. I went there.

Wait. You sold Smash Bros. for this?

The on-foot stuff isn't very good, but the flight stuff is fun. So just rent it and decide for yourself. It's definitely one of those games where you need to try it out yourself.
And without a friggin' doubt pick up Star Fox Adventures since you can get ti for $15 at EB.com, maybe less somewhere else. It's DEFINITELY worth $15, no matter what the haters might say. Very underrated. Beautiful game, and the gameplay is fun. Flawed, but for $15...

The music is definitely the highlight of Assault. Very well done. Other than that, the game fails as a Star Fox title. The flight missions are the best part of the game but they don't feel right. The Arwing doesn't carry the same weight as it did in SF 64. It controlled much better in SF 64. Also, the on-foot and landmaster sequences, although not a bad idea, were executed poorly. The controls ruin those sequences.Mashing said:....and the music
