At this time the Starcade website's store is selling episodes of the series on DVD, via direct sale. Each disc comes with 5 episodes, featuring gameplay with various coin-ops of the era. For example, Volume 1 includes contests with Super Pac-Man, Buck Rogers, Tac Scan, Star Trek, Super Zaxxon, Star Wars, and Joust. Plus there's bonus behind-the-scenes footage from a taping of the show. You can choose just the DVD itself for $19.95, or for ten dollars more choose the package that includes 3 "weepul" toys from the show plus a replica of the official Starcade t-shirt.

I wish they would air this on G4 still. I don't care if people didn't like it, I bet it's more entertaining than the crap they air

edit: wow, all of our posts are about G4. Haha.

This show used to air on G4 before they merged with TechTV. It was horribly campy, and the parents usually sucked at the games, but I loved closing my eyes, and trying to figure out which arcade game it was from the sound effects.

Fuck them. I was on that show (well, it was the horrible spinoff "The Video Game"), and when I contacted JM Productions they told me they would love for me to write a blurb on their website & that a tape of my show would be sent in the mail.

A year later, there's still no tape. I contact them and am told that my tape was destroyed in a fire. Fuckers! I wanted to see my goofy ass at age 11 again!

...it's probably good though, someone would make an "0WN3D" screenshot of it or something.

Haven't seen the G4 since the merger. They got rid of Starcade? What fools!

This DVD will make an awesome Xmas gift.
IAWTP. Starcade was, more or less, the only interesting thing on that channel.

Ah the memories, I used to love that little mix on G4. Even though I wasn't a big fan of Starcade I always loved having it on in the background because it had such a vintage gaming feel. The old g4 promos gave off this vibe too, remember the one where the knight fires the Cleric?

They were worn out on g4 so much though, I really can't imagine buying these on dvd. Some eps were hilarious though. The one with Kahn and the other ep where one of the hosts was eyeing this 12-year old were funny as hell. :lol
