Just watched it too. And yeah, that annoyed me as well. They tried to give Dota too much credit by not mentioning the games that came before it. Overall it was pretty well done, though. So I'm watching Free 2 Play, the Dota 2 docu, and one of the players says that ten years ago competitive gaming wasn't even a thing, and right after he says it they show a bank of people at an IEM event playing games, and right there is Khaldor. Can't see what he's playing, but I don't remember him ever mentioning Dota 2. Just struck me as odd. They really avoid mentioning Starcraft or LoL.
David Ortiz (Psione said:After testing changes to Blink in our balance update test map, we felt that altering Blink directly was not a change we wanted to pursue at this time. Were still gathering data on how recent balance updates have affected the various match-ups, and so far were seeing that the Mothership Core vision change has affected certain Blink strategies as intended.
Additionally, we have some changes planned for the Season 2 map pool that we feel will further affect Blink builds in the upcoming season. You can expect more information on the Season 2 map pool changes in the coming weeks.
Good to hear. Although I'd recommend changing blink at some point, as we'd like blink all-ins not to be so easy, but not to be undoable either. Also would not like map design to be limited because of blink.
A Reddit poster suggested moving Time Warp up the tech tree. Either make it researchable at one of the T2 buildings, maybe even the Cybercore, or make it a Mothership exclusive.
At some point, Blizzard has to ask themselves why it's always a toss abiliity the maps need to be balanced around. The bandaid race.

Duncan Thorin Shields has been removed from the analyst/commentary position for the EMS One Katowice broadcast due to his comments about Poland that he made on a recent podcast Unfiltered.
ESL does not stand by or tolerate acts of racism, xenophobia or other forms of discrimination and does not wish to be associated or employ those who make any such comments. We are deeply upset that a long time member of the esports community would display such ignorance and make highly inappropriate comments about an entire nation.
Thorins tirade has offended not only the live audience of the show he was hired to work on, but the entire Polish production team that he was going to be a part of.
I have spoken to Thorin directly this morning. It has been made clear to him that his comments were totally unacceptable and inconsistent with ESLs ethos.
It is unfortunate that we have to do this on the first day of the EMS One Katowice show, but we are hard at work to replace Thorin on the show and rest assured are determined to bring a great show regardless.

omg that stupid train-destroying mission
omg so annoying
omg why did they even make that
That is exactly what I did. I even got a ghost nuke one train for shits and giggles. I just hated the whole design of the mission. So many forced timing/engagement gimmick missions in this campaign. It's so stupidly linear, not so much hand-holding as drag-you-by-the-hand.It's pretty easy really if you just mass diamond backs. You don't even have to engage those marauder groups walking around. Having a full bunker in your main helps with those attacks they do in the middle as well.

Random guess on the map pool next season.
Yeonsu - stays (one I'm the least sure of)
Polar Night - gone
Frost - gone (although I think it's one of the better balanced maps)
Daedalus Point - gone (although I don't think current version is that bad)
Heavy Rain - stays
Habitation Station - altered or gone
Alterzim Stronghold - stays
I guess you guys don't play on Wednesday nights anymore?
In practice I think Time Warp is usually the lynchpin of very strong timing attacks, but it's not an absolute necessity like early game photon overcharge or the ability to recall. Moving Time Warp later in the tech tree should let the MSC do what it is ostensibly meant for: scout, support early aggression, defend early aggression. The thing it wouldn't be able to do is give an inexpensive turbo boost to blink and immortal all-ins.The problem is like so many other suggestions this would be game breaking. I agree with you and i can think of a few other changes that can really help but they require basically reworking the protoss race. Blizzard just won't do it.
Pretty strange considering DOTA itself spawned from another competitive game.

I hate how trial and error the missions are in WoL, most of them are barely even RTS (or rather do not have economic management being a part of the focus)

Naniwa said:everything that happened was extremly silly, to be honest i told my team atleast 5 times that i didnt want to go and that they should make iem get a replacement for me. but my team didnt agree with this and also IEM said that they would highly recommend me to go or there would be consequenses ( this is what my team told me )
i would ofcourse not want to go to waste my time playing a tournament in a game i dont even practice anymore as it was a huge waste of time but as i said i was forced to because of SPONSOR Things, and ironically enough i got kicked out of the team for going there and doing what i did when i didnt even wanna go or play sc2 in the first place funnily enough. but whatever im not sad and i dont really care anymore about that, im sure that if i practice 2 weeks in the future i can make the comeback as the best foreign player at any time if i feel like it.
its a bit funny tho that ppl think other people deserve the spot ( Yes i wanted to give it away cuz i didnt wanna play the tour ) but i won it fair and square by going top2 at newyork, if other people wouldve "deserved it" then they could learn to qualify to tournaments by their own skill
So much salt. He still doesn't get that people are pissed because he forfeited after one game?
Aaaaaand Diablo 3 just crashed, so it wasn't my graphic drivers.
Resubmitting ticket...
Problem is if you just want to do whatever the fuck you want you probably shouldn't sign a contract for a team that has obligations to their sponsors. This is one of the biggest tournaments in SC2, is it unreasonable for them to want their best and most popular player to actually show up? He makes it sound like he was being victimized when really he was just being held to his contractually agreements more likely.
Hopefully we can get more foreigners to be competitive who aren't complete douchebags about it.
And yet again tried to blame it on technical failings of the tournament organisers. At least be honest about your reasons for quitting.
Didn't think I could dislike Naniwa any more than I did.. but yeah now I do. What an arrogant thing to say. Hope he never comes back.but whatever im not sad and i dont really care anymore about that, im sure that if i practice 2 weeks in the future i can make the comeback as the best foreign player at any time if i feel like it.

ROFLMAO Nani actually said that?
I think a lot of foreigners have already surpassed him actually. Well at least the form he showed recently. Which isn't hard considering all you have to do is not forfeit. lol
But seriously Bunny is become the new Lucifron with HerOMarine and TLO with Scarlett stands at the top of foreign zergs. Protoss is protoss, too many good ones to count.
