I haven't played all of them, but it seems as if general consensus is, unfortunately, Paranautical Activity. The devs are extremely rude, have stolen assets still left in the game and suddenly decided it was finished one day despite several unresolved promises (the big one being coop). They're also very charming people on Twitter; threatening to murder a reviewer who didn't like their game and posting about how it's lulzy to punch your girlfriend in the face.

Basically, get the bundle for it, but customize the split and pull their slider down to 0.

Damn, I wish I had known that before I bought the bundle. Doh.

Yeah... My ranting against the Volgarr guys earlier wasn't entirely serious; I don't like the dishonesty but it's not a big deal. I do think abandoning your EA game, stealing copyrighted assets (sound effects) and being a violent asshole is, at least all combined, a big deal and that these people should not be supported with money.

I had read about those those guys being terrible people, banning people who criticized them from the Steam forums and deleting threads, using stolen content in the game and posting misogynist shit on Twitter, but I didn't know about the bolded. There's being annoyed by your customers, and there's being an asshole. These guys are the latter.

To be clear, there's some hyperbole from me there. What the guy, the artist for the game, said was something to the effect of "I'd like to push his jaw through the back of his head".

I think steam downloads are encrypted so that's why it uses your CPU, I might be completely wrong thou

It's not encrypted (unless it's pre-load data, but even then the data isn't decrypted until release), however the data being downloaded is compressed, which is then decompressed on-the-fly so there's no more waiting post-download. I can't say I've ever had download-related CPU usage issues with Steam, though.

Quick PhysX question: it aint worth having it maxed out on anything, right? I tried it on Batman Origins and it just had like sort dumb looking reactive fog and it seems to do the same thing in The Bureau.

I mean, it looks kinda nice but it also halves my framerate in almost half anytime its used.

I'd just suggest adopting an avatar first, it's much easier to identify than username anyway, and can be more upbeat or whatever you'd like.

You're lucky, I always have them. Every time something finishes downloading Steam freezes for several seconds (sometimes even minutes), no idea why.

3. Choose normal because you're not a casual
4. Die xx times at the first boss
5. Resist the game's attempts at persuading you to lower the difficulty
6. Die xx times more
7. Give up and lower difficulty
8. Die xx times more

You can do this even with Uplay friends who don't have the game. Or at least I could, back when the game was released.

6. Repeat 4-5 for all successive bosses

The only game where i used PhysX for a longer duration was Warframe but that game is so effect bloated that its really hard to focus on anything with all these particles flying around. But yeah, depending on the game this is really taxing even with stronger GPUs. My friend uses a dedicated graphics card (not SLI) to maintain higher framerates despite using a 780 like myself.
The effects are nice, but IMO nothing i would sacrifice a higher and more stable framerate for. So if it runs fine with the effects enabled then why not, but personally i prefer downsampling to PhysX .

Honestly, Ys Easy mode will make you feel like a baby. Haha.

If you have any trouble with the Ys bosses, you're either under-leveled or you're missing an upgrade.
