Steelrising - Official Launch Trailer

I was much less excited when I saw it took place in a steampunkified version of the real world, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Spiders has built enough goodwill from me for at least that much.

Paris has many secrets, and so does Cagliostro.

Discover a new level, the Saint-Louis Hospital new enemies and character to complete your Steelrising adventure.

Aegis, it's time to go back.

Caliostro's Secret DLC is available now on PS5™.

Owners of the Bastille Edition of Steelrising will have instant access to this DLC. Otherwise, it can be purchased separately.

I'm not a fan of souls games. How much is it like Souls? Is there anything else besides the combat that makes the game worth playing?
I'm not a souls fan either but I do like Spider games. I played at normal difficulty without their aid mechanic and found the 'souls' inspiration tolerable. You will die if you just button mash but the enemies will telegraph their intentions if you watch closely. Typical of souls games you will unlock gates, drop ladders, etc to create new shortcut. New upgrades and equipment can be found but I didn't vary from my maxed out starter weapon, which was fun to use.
Enemy character designs are unique and interesting and excellently animated. The slightly convoluted story works and greatly improves in the later part of the game and I found a certain connection with Aegis (Spider's strength) by endgame.
All that said, it does contain Spider jankiness. Mais Oui, I really liked the combat.
