Stella Deus Gameplay Footage

Hope this has not been posted yet (did a search and didn't find anything on it) but if it has you can delete the thread.

The anime sequences look a bit odd but the gameplay footage looks superb. The sprites don't animate as fluidly as I would have liked but they do look high-res so thats a plus. The gameplay looks like a typical SRPG with the basic move-around-a-grid structure that is all too common in games like FFT, Disgaea, Hoshigami, etc. The character designs look nice and the different attack combos perfromed have a lot of eye candy. Hopefully the game gets localized if its any good and the current Japanese release date looks like sometime in October.

Aw man, I knew I'd only have this all to myself for a couple of weeks.

Surprised you find the FMV sequences "odd" - thought they were amazing, although the small screen doesn't do them justice: the Dragon Quarter director has just gone wild, and the art direction is out of this world. Not to mention the Iwata/Sakimoto score.

I've been waiting to hear and see more of this title.
The gameplay portions look amazing as does the hand drawn art for the title.
I love the art direction.

The CG looks terrible, though. The animation is among the worst I've seen.
It's a shame that this game's visual shine in every aspect but that.

Rock on! Can't wait to see more.

Well, I think the characters look a bit weird in the anime sequences. Like they have entirely different artists for the character portraits versus the anime portions of the game.

Everything looks fantastic except the battle animatons which seem to suffer from the Guilty Gear syndrome of high-res + choppy animation.

The FMV style is really nice although I'm guessing the FMVs will only be at the OP/ED.
