[Thing on a Spring]

Recently went back and started another watch through of Still Game and I have to say, the first six seasons still hold up (apart from the Pot Noodle designs.) Imagine a Scottish Father Ted, without priests and replaced with pensioners.

For new comers to the series, I'll curate some of the greatest hits.

After Limmy's Show, I had been looking for another Scottish comedy to binge, and stumbled upon this - just finished season 6, and while I find the show more charming than hilarious, it's a fun watch with a generally likable cast of characters. The canned laughter takes some getting used to though. I also didn't really season 7 was filmed about 10 years almost 10 years after season 6, so that was a bit jarring. Still, I'll see it through to the end, as it's been an enjoyable binge.

Thought it was the worst thing I’d ever seen after watching the first episode, but I carried on and it clicked.

I can’t explain it, but this show is pretty special. None of it should be funny but... somehow... it is?

e: I do have to watch it with subtitles sometimes, though, because I am very English.

Oh, being an American, subtitles are a must for me for Scottish content. I am getting better though. My crowning achievement has to be being able to understand about 80% of this;
