National pride is wack - I'm from the US and have no reason to be proud of this place. From the useless wars that have destabilized entire countries and killed millions, to privatizing the entire economy and letting people knowingly suffer, what is the great legacy of the country?

Same goes for the majority of Europe too, tons of historic colonial bullshit, slavery, etc. By you saying you "love your country" is like saying you love microwaved food. None of these western countries are paradises and the only way we progress is by letting power know we won't accept crumbs or systematic inequality.

I'm not a purple hair, I don't read ResetEra, as a matter of fact I'm fucking bald. Who cares? I'm of the mind that citizens always need to keep their governments on the back foot until EVERYONE can get free.

I don't care if GAF "doesn't do politics" - I've got news for you that life itself is political, it's all intertwined and affects everyone.
