Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Yeah, waste more money on fluff nobody cares about then have crazy high expectations for the sales and say we tried, folks didn't care, makes sense. Does anyone really care about such stuff, save for some football/sports game having national/local celebrity match announcers?

It's just background noise. Gameplay is so fast they're barely ever saying anything resembling the on screen action, unlike said sports games where they have time to name all the players and their actions as they run across a field. It's just gonna be repeated stupid catch phrases...

And it's not even just paying for one announcer which can be cool, I mean, some SF games have had pretty distinct voices that add to their atmosphere (though you really only notice the pre-game/end game stuff, Round X, Fight, Winner, etc.) but they're gonna have a bunch, lol!

Why they keep insisting on commentary for their fighting games I have no idea. Aways though this is stupid idea.

That's awesome because it means that more people will actually shut up when I turn down the comments' volume to 0.

I will turn off commentary instantly.

Even with great commentators like James Chen etc, it doesn't sound good when actually playing imo.

And you hear the same lines very quickly over and over.

It's a novel idea, but I really can't see many people playing with it on.

so i had no idea this was a thing (I tapped out at SFV) this seems pointless. how can it be fast enough for the game?

I might be in the minority on SF6 but it feels like a step back from SFV in some ways - I don't have much motivation to follow it. When I tried the beta it felt a bit slow and not responsive and the colorful charge attack gimmicks just felt annoying and distracting.
This commentator stuff is pointless. Most people don't care about the e-sports aspect of fighting games, it's not what the genre is about.

It could be interesting for a round or two.

It reminds me of old school Madden where you can tell there aren't nearly enough lines recorded for this not to get old in a heartbeat.
