Street Fighter V F.A.N.G Gameplay

He looks like a better Dhalsim. Peter making him look broken.

Also he animates real well or that stage makes the characters look better. On mobile so could be that as well

So is Sagat out of the hierarchy? He doesn't have a statue. It would be interesting to see him as a independent out to get revenge on Ryu.

Sagat quit Shadaloo after the Alpha series. He's been a good guy ever since.

He no longer wants revenge on Ryu, but more of an official rematch. he let go of his edginess and found inner peace.

Adon is kinda being dickish about that fact though.

Sagat left Shadaloo as of Alpha 3. He only joined Shadaloo to get his salty runback with Ryu (see SF1). After some training with Dhalsim, Sagat became a hero to his people & an overall well-adjusted person. He still maintains his rivalry with Ryu, but in a more friendly manner. F.A.N.G has since encompassed the pride archetype for the Four Kings.

Fangus looks so shitty. Exactly that kind of gameplay I dislike. Slow ass poisoning, poke, run away, keep out with 3 fireballs at once, repeat. He's like SF3 freak reject and I like SF3 freaks like Q and Necro but Fang got 3 red X when he was about to join 3rd Strike cast.

I dunno, the poison mechanic seems really overpowered to me, and cheap.

And hey, they added motion blur to the PS4 version. I assume it's the PS4 version they're playing, anyway.

I can already tell i'll hate playing against this guy......

On the other hand that stage looks legit amazing with all those guys in spacesuits training and stuff

Holy cow, he looks SO GOOD.

Secondary main confirmed for me. This is exactly the type of character this game needed and I didn't feel like Dhalsim fit the bill.

what this said... I can see Sagat making an appearance in the season 2 of the game.

...

I wonder who the Boss of the game is.

F.A.N.G.'s V-trigger is really weird. Not in terms of what it does, but it's the fact that it stands at complete opposition to his normal gameplan. It look like F.A.N.G. wants to zone the enemy out and let the poison do most of the work until the enemy gets ballsy and goes in where you punish them. But his V-trigger rewards you for staying in the enemy's face the whole time.

Pretty cool.

Seems dual-purpose to me; both potentially dissuade someone from continued corner pressure (if they can't crack you they'll lose a bunch of life for trying), and maintain free poison damage if you are pressuring them in the corner if they try to block it out and just poke away the damage since it'll instantly re-apply. They actually have to restablish spacing to do something about it.

It's hard to say from the video but it kind of looks like he is a charge character too. I may actually have a new SF main for once.

I love his trigger. It prevents players from playing hyper aggressively and puts opponents right in the sweet spot for his LP parabolic projectile. It's a much better trigger than most characters.

I can see it being used as a sort of "get off me" when he gets in trouble. If you have good enough defense you may end up doing more damage by blocking mixups from a character like Cammy than she can put out just by chipping at you.

As with everything in this game, F.A.N.G looks so good in motion. I already liked his design, but I could understand complaints that he looks out of place with the rest of the cast. In motion though, with higher quality video than what we got from the PS Experience stream, he looks especially great.
