First of all my router is speetouch and there's no way to let it run WoW downloader so I have to download teh standalone patches

I have the 1.8.0(252MB) and the 1.8.3-1.8.4(35MB)

I've just fresh installed the game after I formatted and then installed the 1.8.0 patch, ran the game and then it downloads a "downloader file" the runs the downloader automatically and which requires a 287MB download!!!!

the Downloader says that it was downloading the 1.8.4 update, I've searched the internet and there's no 1.8.0 to 1.8.4 stand alone file to download.

what can I do now?? this thing is erally pissing me off, I've re-installed the game twice!

Please help

ok, you guys might actually be able to help me out...

there's a way to let the router run Blizz-Downloader

here

The Alcatel SpeedTouch 530 will not allow you to forward enough ports, to run World of Warcraft Downloader. You should try using the DMZ portion of this router if it is available. Alternatively you can try switching the router to bridged mode. You will need to contact your ISP to switch to bridged mode, so they can make the required changed on their end.

If someone here has the current version of WoW, it's likely that if they look in the WOW directory on their hard drive the 1.8.0 to 1.8.1, etc patches will be in there. Looks like all previous patches are in there for me (but I stopped playing around 1.6.0). I'll even provide server space to host if someone has those files.

Blizzard's ...

they should release a stand alone file that updates your game to the latest patch...

I can't believe that there's no way for me to update/play the game unles I take my PC to a direct connection or buy a new router!! that's stupid

Thanks a lot.. the thing that pissed me off is that I just finished my exams yesterday and I was really looking forwad for today as I've formatted my PC just to run WoW with the best performance possible.. and it back fired :P

You can't play games unless you meet the requirements. I don't know what router that is that you're using, but since I don't know, I'm just assuming it's not meeting normal requirements.

Buy a new router.

I don't use the blizzard patcher. I just wait for the bittorrent for the patch to appear here and then download it. Comes over real fast too.

its really strange, when I installed it on my laptop, after the installation of patch 1.8.0 it auto patches 2 times without the requirement of WoW downloader, they were small patches untill it reaches 1.8.3 then I install the 1.8.3-to-1.8.4 fle (35MB)...

I don't think thats a 287MB worth of updates, I'm sure there's something wrong its just not possible..

it takes 5 minutes to upfate from 1.8.0 to 1.8.3 and 35MBs to 1.8.4!!! so why do i have to download 287MB to upgrade from 1.8.0 to 1.8.4???
