This wednesday I'm going on a 10 day road trip down south (we're in wisconsin) with a friend. Yes, that friend. Our only definite destination is New Orleans, since I haven't been there since early highschool with my parents and she's never been there. Other than that, I have no idea where we should go. Preferably somewhere relatively warm. We won't have tons of money, but it shouldn't be a huge issue. This is my first road trip ever, or trip with anyone without my family for that matter actually, and I just graduated and will have to be entering the "real world" after the trip, so I want to make it as fucking awesome as possible. Any suggestions?

1. It's not warm down here. Maybe relative to Wisconsin, but other than that, no.
2. Once you're south of Illinois, tell people that she's your sister. If she's your gf they won't respect that, but the odds of them abducting her drop noticeably if they think you're related. Southerners respect the family tree with few branches, after all.

She has a boyfriend. But honestly the only thing that's kept us from having sex has been me respecting that. If drinking will be involved (which it will), and if we'll be sleeping in the same room, or even bed (her idea, to "save money") for a week and a half, lord knows what'll happen.dem said:

Tennesse rules, Pigeon Forge or Ford? I think that strip is called. Back in `92 my friend and I drove down there, nearly same situation as yours and found camping grounds over looking that crazy strip for $12 a night for car/tent lot. Smoky Mts are right there, just gorgeous. Maybe worth few days. Besides our trip out west to colorado area that was one best trips I had.

He's more a serious boyfriend with whom she currently plans on moving to Japan in several months with than a nonissue. She's even told me right in front of him how he's okay with her sleeping at my place and vice versa. The topic somehow turned to sex and the trip and her relationship or something, and she asked "hypothetically, if I had sex with someone on our trip, would you tell my boyfriend?" It kind of took my by surprise because she is an upfront and honest person and has told me that she normally wouldn't be able to hold a secret like that. Well, my comment was mostly aimed at the fact that I don't care for the South. If you want to be somewhere warm(er), then you're pretty much stuck heading south from where you are.demon said:

Well I am infinitely depressed. The trip is off because of the fucking weather. We're planning on spending at least a couple days at the Dells waterpark and Chicago, but that's just not going to be the same. Fuckitfuckitfuckitfuckitfuckit.
