Summertime Gaming

German Shocks

GAF's Nicest Lunch Thief and Nosiest Dildo Archeologist
Summer is my favorite season, and I have a soft spot in my heart for games with a summery aesthetic. Anything bright, tropical, fun-in-the-sun, etc. And with summer properly here, I'm in the mood to play something in this style.

So I'm looking for recommendations. PC or console. Release date doesn't matter! Parts of games are welcome too!

So if your favorite summer themed game thing is, say, the Dolphin Shoals level of Super Mario Kart 8, I'd still love to hear about it.

Dolphin Blue is also one of my favorite summertime go-to's.

Have you tried Mixtape?

Summer gaming is survival time for, this year it will be enshrouded probably, I'm waiting for the 1.0. Other than that I mostly try to play winter games during the summer and summer games during winter to trick my brain to not feel cold/hot. It doesn't work.

Dead or Alive Xtreme series.
The first DOAXBV is absolutely a summer memory of mine from when I was a teenager. I loved it, playing volleyball and getting accessories for dressing up the girls.

It was years later I discovered it was a game for gooners and I was supposed to hate it

I recently played Chrono Cross HD Remaster. The original game I played way back when it came out in the summer of 2000 and it was the first game I ever played

When I was replaying the game, I was reminded of how much I love the tropical feeling the game gave me. The prerendered backgrounds are still one of my favorites when it comes to PS1 games that use that graphic style. Everything is mostly just sunny and fun
