Last night, Bandai Namco held a livestream for Super Robot Wars Y. They confirmed the release date is August 28th, 2025. They also announced new line-up:

So far the line-up is not too different from the previous game.

Dynazenon but not Gridman Unvierse. I guess it would be a nightmare to implement all the possible combinations of Gridman and Gridknight for a series that they can't really use much for story. I'm still kinda pissed that Gridknight was so lackluster compared to Gridman in SRW30 despite being the rival but I guess that's typical for most series.

Yeah, the lineup is really weird. The Witch from Mercury is only the first season. Macross Delta is only the 1st movie. The second characters lately have lackluster attacks.

What's also weird is that Iron Blooded Orphans was relegated to DLC and it's story never used. I didn't really like IBO but it was unusual for a Gundam series to get skipped like that, more so because I thought IBO was fairly popular.

I haven't really liked any of them since Z.
I think they need to shake up the formula a bit.

Roster could definitely be better, but I'm def in it for seed destiny, it's been too long ago for force impulse.
Anyway looks like the main characters are called cross and forte and their mech is ninja themed.
Pre-order bonus is cybuster and the two mains from SRW V, while DLC 1 and 2 will have the mains from X and T.
Probably unlikely for huckebein 30 and Az to make an appearance again so quickly, but I wouldn't mind; it's also overdue for raioh and Ialdabaoth to make an appearance again.

Also, I'm moderately disappointed that Grendizer got ignored yet again. I would have thought the new anime would have been the perfect chance for Grendizer to return to SRW. I just want Kouji, Tetsuya and Duke together again.
