The decision was made without a dissenting opinion. This is not surprising given the from the bench ruling of the appelate court yesterday.

A few observations:

* The religious right is batshit crazy, and god help us all if that woman dies on Good Friday or on Easter.

* Someone's got to take the fall for this kind of congressional overreach. My bets are that the "Bugman from Sugarland" Tom DeLay will be that person. Will he go down quietly like Dick "Barney Fag" Armey, or with the kind of resonating thud that Newt "Banging More than the Gavel" Gingrich did? Who knowns, but it'll be good to see the GOP Congress do what it does best-internecine warfare.
