Hi all,

I just had to share this with you, a new trailer for MechAssault 2, that is just too awesome. Been playing this game for some times now in multiplayer, and I have to say it blows Halo 2 away! This is the next big thing on Xbox Live, and will be for some time if you ask me.

I think the art is terrible and the music is worse.
The cut scenes look great graphically, but in game graphics don't look so hot.

It's amazing how far good tech and great art took ZOE 2. It looks much better than this.

I am always going to love ZOE more than MA, but the specularoty on the mechs looks absolutely amazing. I remember that specularoty was on of the things that was missing from the original MA, and it bugged the hell out of me. Conquest mode sounds interesting, but only if you don't get stuck with newbs.

The cut scenes are in engine, you basically run around with a character that is (almost) as pretty as the high res version used solely in those cut scenes. You gotta see it in motion, it looks sweet.

Sure it can improve still, I'm not confident the sense of scale had improved a lot, but when you are out there as single human being with these giants stomping around, it's pretty impressive. I think sometimes they make a mistake by some of the art that degrade the sense of scale, but overall it does still looks awesome and with all the effects going on and mech's stomping around, it's very impressive.

All the new online modes are just so awesome and the gameplay is great! I personally prefer it over Halo 2 multiplayer.

The trailer doesn't tell me much. :\

I won't be buying this on release, but I'll give it a rent and see how it plays on Live.

Annoying sarcasm and annoying licensed music aside, the game looks pretty cool. I do agree with the bad art sentiment though.
