Hey guys, I wanted to post a thread here to see if anyone else has been having issues with the Switch 2 console.

At least once per week, my console seems to 'crash' and will not wake up from sleep mode. The screen wont turn on, pressing the power button or the controller to wake it up does not work.

The only way to bring it back is a 'hard reset' which means holding down the power button for 20 secs and then leaving the adapter unplugged for 30 secs to power cycle it. You have to do both for some reason or it doesn't recognise the reset.

This gets really annoying and I can't seem to figure out what causes it, at least not being able to replicate it like a bug QA.

Has anyone else experienced this happening and resolved the issue? do I perhaps have a faulty system and / or power adapter? the console seems to work and charge fine besides this issue.

What happens with mine, is that rarely, even though it wakes up from sleep, my TV screen remains blank even after putting the console to sleep and waking it up again.
I noticed that this usually happens after I've used the console in handheld mode and then docking it.

Happened again yesterday and I must have spent a good 5+ minutes trying to get a picture from my TV, It's annoying AF.

Maybe it's a Switch 2 thing, maybe it's a Handshake one with the TV (OLED C2) or maybe, it's the HDMI CEC that I have enabled that causes it.

Try going into your sound settings and repeatedly changing it from pcm to linear and then back, whatever the other option is. You should be able to fix it with just a few tries.

This is a lg issue and happens with all of my consoles. Sometimes when I'm playing mid game everything will just go black too, but that's pretty rare.

This has happened with my Switch 1 and my Series X. I imagine that it will also happen with the Switch 2 once I've had for more than a few weeks. I agree with you though, I now have an LG QNED and it didn't happen with my Bravia a few years ago.

It's probably still under warranty so I would just contact Nintendo and get them to fix it.

To be honest, it has also happened with my PS5 a couple of times but, the Switch 2 for some.reason does it more frequently...

I don't know whether it's exclusive to LG TVs or the HDMI CEC feature (which I have enabled on both consoles) but my heart skipped a beat thinking that it was the HDMI inputs or the consoles OR the TV going kaput, you've put my mind at ease and for that, i thank you

My friend has an LG CX and he gets the same issue with Switch 2 aswell, Turning match power state fixed his issue too but he also has to manually change input now, Thinking about it when I had my LG C9 I had the same issue with Switch 1 aswell.

I guess LG TVs don't like Switch docks lol
