Did you manage to get a Switch 2 pre-order?

It went live 12 AM Est here in Canada. I was able to get the bundle from Walmart. Delivery June 6.

Got two preorders one from target and one from Best Buy will end up canceling one but wanted to secure the bag! Best Buy was 30 mins late to go live!
 
Nah, didn't try. I prefer to purchase by system in store when supply is somewhat plenty and the first couple of waves of devices are sold, just in case there's some manufacturing issues.
 
Got a bundle at Target and Walmart.

Considering a third if this Best Buy queue pops because I don't trust these retailers.

EDIT: Got a third for good measure. I know my friends will be looking for one anyway.

My preferred order is BB > Walmart > Target
Trying to snag what I could get I ended up getting Target first, then Walmart and lastly BB.

Will cancel the other two in a few days to make sure the order holds and stick with BB store pickup.

I kinda prefer Costco, Walmart, thennnnnnnnn Best Buy.

its just easier for me to return the system at costco first walmart second in case if there is a dead pixel or something on the screen.

bestbuy is an ass to deal with especially if its an open box.
 
Apparently I got a bundle and non bundle at Walmart after 45 minutes of trying. We'll see if they don't cancel those orders after the dust settles.

Sweet Jesus, this has been one of the worst launches ever. Some places sold out within seconds.

Anyone who thought this console would flop is three sheets to the wind.
 
Had one in the cart at Target, and just noped out after the first issue, I was more in it for the rush I guess, because I don't think year one I see anything I need to play asap on the system. More Money for games for current systems I guess!

I have a base version preordered from Walmart. I went for that because I assumed it would have less demand, and I almost immediately regretted it. Going to keep my eye out for a MKW bundle between now and launch.
 
Complaining really does work, I bitched about Best Buy in the other thread and they miraculously let me through the line and I was able to order one

Also have an order from Walmart but they cancel orders all the time so I'm not sure how that will go

Either way, my bag is probably secured. Famous last words
 
Got one at Walmart through random F5 fuckery. The order would only process with Affirm. I think my default card got flagged for fraud or something because I was spamming the "place order" button in my Target cart for 3 hours to no avail.

It's wild to me that every console launch is a bigger shitshow than the last.

Anyways, yeah I got one (despite not being THAT interested in it).

Figured may as well in case prices increase, and besides first run hardware always seems to be better and more easily modded than revised hardware.

After getting kicked out of line (waited a good 30+ minutes too) on Best Buy for the base model, I was able to get the Mario Kart bundle and actually checkout.

Well the darndest thing just happened. The Best Buy queue that I gave up on but left active just clicked over and I now have a MKW bundle preordered! Very interesting.
 
Fuck BestBuy. Been "in line" for more than an hour on 4 different devices and been kicked out twice. On the other hand i downloaded the Target app. Created an account and was able to preorder the MK bundle.
 
Best buy was the way to go for me with the bundle and I woke up late so I thought I was going to have to make a trip to GameStop in the morning. Switched to in-store pickup after I was done placing the order. I'll see if I get a invitation from Nintendo and decide what I want to do from there.
 
I actually managed to get 2. I was in the process of waiting in line to get one for best buy, but it was taking too long, and I had to go to work. While leaving, walmart's line opened up for a mario kart bundle, so I got that.

However, while I was on my drive to work, the best buy app line opened up for me, and i was able to get the stand alone system version that i wanted.

I don't plan on keeping the walmart order, im thinking of seeing if another fellow gamer who wants one at retail price will buy it from me, but otherwise i might end up canceling the walmart one.
 
Yes, was super easy in Germany. They're still available today, just the Mario Kart bundle is harder to get currently.
(Ah this is about the North American preorders, sorry)

After the biggest dumpster fire for a console preorder I've ever seen….I managed to get a non-bundle order in at Walmart and a MK bundle in at Target. I just pray that both of them don't get cancelled.
 
Ordered two from Walmart, along with a physical copy of Mario Kart
 
Target cancelled my order so fuck them.

Walmart got a Pro Controller and non bundle system

At Best Buy I got in line for a bundle that was overpriced. So it finally let me in and I removed the games and it let me get just the system for normal $450 price.

So yeah I have 2 systems on order right now.

Pretty much me. I know I'll need to get it eventually anyway and its not getting any cheaper. So having acquiesced already, I'm letting myself feel hyped about it.

I really had no aggressive plans for modding Switch 2 and thought I'd just pair it with my hacked Switch. But this third party key card thing has me thinking about it already.

I'm not amassing a library of portable games I already have on other platforms that come on an empty cartridge for a premium price. I'm likely to buy a bunch of Nintendo games on it and then blow it open after a few years.
 
1 from Bb and 1 from Walmart
I gave a feeling one of them will get cancelled, if not both.
