Exactly. The Switch has tons of games running on sub 720p res in handheld mode already. Upping it to 1080p will just repeat the same shit again. If that is the case, they should stick to 720p screen for handheld.
Exactly, it is a massive waste of time to go above 720/800p on handhelds. Focus on higher resolutions when docked.Exactly. The Switch has tons of games running on sub 720p res in handheld mode already. Upping it to 1080p will just repeat the same shit again.
Even though TFLOPS are irrelevant,it would be pretty hard for Nintendo to have a console only at 1 TFLOP.No, more like 1TF max
1080p will be fine if it has system-level DLSS. DLSS quality would be 720P.Exactly. The Switch has tons of games running on sub 720p res in handheld mode already. Upping it to 1080p will just repeat the same shit again.

I bet for $400There's a reason why the console will be sunstantialy weaker than the PS5/XSX guys: Low price. This thing is likely going to be $300.
$349.99I bet for $400

It's gonna be $400. Although maybe a Lite version later?
If it's 4TF, it's not going to be $400 (my opinion) maybe $350.
You're a sick bastard. My assumption is that if a Nintendo specs rumor ends with ?!, it's probably false. My expectations are for the Switch 2's performance to match the Xbox Series X (in handheld mode, 6K screen).
Are you getting a Switch 2 day one?
I'll just say that when there's smoke there's fire.Dude people going crazy with the Switch 2 rumors
All I expect is PS4/XBONE Level Graphics Docked/Undocked. Plus being combined with much more modern hardware lol
What are the chances of this having an oled screen day one? I'd love to play Mario games again, but the screen is a deal breaker.
Let's fuck it up even more, have a 768p screen, confuse the manufactures whilst still being able to claim it's a higher resolution screen!Exactly. The Switch has tons of games running on sub 720p res in handheld mode already. Upping it to 1080p will just repeat the same shit again.
Nintendo Switch 2 May Hit 4 Teraflops in Docked Mode; Will Be Clocked "Crazy Low" in Handheld Mode
According to rumors circulating online, NVIDIA wanted to get near 4 teraflops with the Nintendo Switch 2 in docked modewccftech.com
That is pretty much the same power as the PS4 Pro. Sounds good(if true)
And it would obviously make sense for Nintendo to underclock the handheld mode to keep battery life and heat manageable.

But yeah, there's a high chance you'll get your wish of PS4/XBO level of graphics/performance undocked on the Switch 2.
If the Switch 2 can hit twice the power of a GameCube, I'll be happy. It'll be a better PS4/XBONE like Switch is a better XBOX360/PS3

There's no way Switch 2 gets priced lower than a Switch OLEDThere's a reason why the console will be sunstantialy weaker than the PS5/XSX guys: Low price. This thing is likely going to be $300.
That will depend on how each Switch game was programmed. If full backwards compatibility with Switch 1 is confirmed, and if the power gap is indeed this large, I sincerely hope for out of the box enhanced performance and image quality for all Switch 1 games.
PANTY FACE!

I will be very surprised if they launch this thing for $399. It feels like $349 is the max they would risk.
If that is the case, they should stick to 720p screen for handheld.
A 4 TF Ampere part should be roughly as fast as a 2.8 TF RDNA 2 part or a 3.5 TF GCN part. So still behind the PS4 Pro.Nintendo Switch 2 May Hit 4 Teraflops in Docked Mode; Will Be Clocked "Crazy Low" in Handheld Mode

It might be more challenging to source a 720p screen than a 1080p screen these days.If that is the case, they should stick to 720p screen for handheld.
I hope this JRPG will be launch title for the Switch 2 since supposedly it should release early 2025.
