Switch games with mediocre performance that will benefit from the Switch 2...

I was thinking about the PS5 Pro and the games that benefit the most from purchasing a pro...

With that being said, what are some good Switch games that got rated poorly because of low FPS that will definitely benefit from the Switch 2's more than likely 40% performance increase..

Hyrule Warriors 2 for sure.
In terms of design, structure and presentation I thought it was one of the better musous I've played. But it ran like absolute shit, it wasn't a 30fps game with dips, it was basically a 25fps game with drops, that would occasionally go up to 30.

Won't they have to get patched first for that to happen? Now you wish that the Switch Pro was actually a thing; PS4 Pro was a key reason as to why PS5 BC ended up being so much better compared to base PS4.
Edit: If we're talking about unstable 30fps being stable now, yeah that might indeed happen.

All of them. And I say this as a huge Nintendo fanboy. Even the games that are 60fps (like Mario Galaxy) use DRS that can be cleaned up with better hardware.

I’m hoping “Switch 2” irons out the framerate dips in the 2D Zelda titles and Bayonetta 3. If that’s the case I’ll replay them when I get it.

But I’d imagine every game will benefit in some way.

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
Zelda 1 and 2, of the wild. Link's Awakening. Zelda's Awakening.

These games need a boost mode and will absolutely tremendously benefit hugely from one and will be even better than they are now.
I think they're probably gonna rerelease them. Making it run automatically better or patching is really unNintendo..

Most Nintendo games have solid performance, those that are infamously known for having bad performance mostly don't either, like Zelda games only having bad performance when there are too many particles out objects with physics or using one of the skills that fill the screen with effect like the ultra hand. The only way I see them greatly benefitted by more power is if they ran at 60 fps even if it's just frame generation or if they're automatically upscaled with DLSS or something.

Some 60 fps games have unstable performance tho like Bayo 3 or SM3DW Bowser's Fury chapter, or the 2 Zeldas, those are games I'm saving for getting in the future in a newer console.

Honestly, just getting an improved version of fortnite to switch gamers will be a huge win.. so many of my sons friends play it on switch and it performs like garbage

This will only happen if they have some kind of boost mode as well. Just because the system is more powerful I really don't expect Nintendo to offer a solution especially for free to improve those games. They are the kings of re-releases and would want to charge you 59.99 again for a spec bump. Hope Im wrong however.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I swear that hits 320p late in the game.

There isn't really a guarantee that Switch 2 will provide benefits to Switch games. Sure, it'd be nice, but it's Nintendo...they could make it so that in order to keep the purity of Switch games, there will be no "boost" mode or anything...I dunno. Just don't wanna get my hopes up.

I think it can be a game changer if Bayonetta 3 and Astral Chain get patches bringing them at 60 fps with a decent resolution. Despite technical limitations they are unrivaled in their genre. Same for Hyrule Warriors (best Musou).

Raincode is another great game that looks like shit on Switch.

Then there are a bazillion ports: Atelier Ryza 3, Ys IX, Outer Worlds etc.

Nintendo are definitely going to have BC that is not an exact 100% replica in terms of behavior for some FPS gains (that 99% of Nintendo players don't care about), because of course Nintendo are going to validate that every single Switch game still runs on Switch 2.

Keep your expectations in check.

It should be fairly trivial for them to make most games play with the OG Switch docked preset while in handheld mode. The exception being games that use the touch screen etc.

Bayonetta 3 perf is all over the place so that one should benefit greatly from the Switch 2.

Also, there's a couple of 3rd party games like AI Somnium Files with unlocked fps which drop from 60 all the way down to 30 so these will benefit as well.
