Some dude on the Youtube section of that video says that every game is it's own thing, kinda like Final Fantasy. So, this is just a renamed version of Sword and Fairy 7 ? Does anybody know if it's a good entry point for the serie ?
That's kinda weird because the wikipedia entry for S & Fairy 7 say that the ' story is set years after the events of the entire The Legend of Sword and Fairy series', and 'many plots are follow-ups to previous generations'.Some dude on the Youtube section of that video says that every game is it's own thing, kinda like Final Fantasy.

Maybe is something like the connection between FFVII and X, that are supposed to be set in the same universe , in a very distant future ?

What's the premise of the story?Played this a while ago on PC. Entertaining and good graphics.
just imagine Final Fantasy + crouching tiger, hidden dragon. There are seven games before this one but you don't need to play them. What's the premise of the story?
Doesn't help me bruh. I already played 6 on ps4.just imagine Final Fantasy + crouching tiger, hidden dragon. There are seven games before this one but you don't need to play them.
Sword and Fairy is a vastly superior game name to - say - Infinite Undiscovery"Sword and Fairy"
I wonder why chinese games always have such stupid names. They take 2 fantasy-sounding english words - which they probably don't even understand - and use them together wothout any cause for relation.
That's... completely besides my point.Sword and Fairy is a vastly superior game name to - say - Infinite Undiscovery
I disagree. It's proof that it's not an issue unique to Chinese developers.That's... completely besides my point.
Oh I didn't notice you wrote game name. Yeah, I disagree. It's also not "2 fantasy-sounding english words randomly put together".I disagree. It's proof that it's not an issue unique to Chinese developers.

The direct translate of the title is close to something like "Legend of Sword and Chivalry", the code name in the original 1994 game files was "Chinese Paladin"."Sword and Fairy"

Its a wuxia based game, its not a stupid name at all."Sword and Fairy"

Yeah, both sword and fairy are pretty common elements of wuxia. Its a wuxia based game, its not a stupid name at all.
Maybe u don't even know what wuxia is, no offense...
China, the next Japan in terms of just about everything.
I don't know if you're aware, but Japan, whom we can all agree has some of the best stuff in terms of consumer electronics, cars, and video games, also got their start way back in the day copying/reverse engineering American stuff and was similarly looked down at until they got past that stage and began to surpass the west. Took a while but people woke up to it. In art and in life, people grow and learn by copying, until they can stand on their own. This isn't anything new.I don't trust anything "creative" aimed at the masses coming out of China..

.. but oh, look! Shiny.
So long as it can be stolen, carbon copied or emulated.
Edit: They're Taiwanese.. That changes a lot!I don't know if you're aware, but Japan, whom we can all agree has some of the best stuff in terms of consumer electronics, cars, and video games, also got their start way back in the day copying/reverse engineering American stuff and was similarly looked down at until they got past that stage and began to surpass the west. Also, have you played the new Sword and Fairy game? It ain't a copy of western or Japanese stuff, no more than anything else in the genre. I urge you to put down your biases and give it a spin on PC. It's a solid action RPG, see for yourself.
