You do realize this is a psp game right? If you do, then you are an idiot.

Yeah. It looks like Ubisoft and Konami got a run for their money on Splinter Cell PSP and whatever Metal Gear Solid PSP is going to be.

Even at twice the normal resolution, this game looks hawt. Gameplay videos have been really nice too. I hope the controls are spot on.

Anyone play the demo of this? The game looks pretty nice for a handheld, with some really cool lighting effects and such.

Control is a bit wonky though, having to use the face buttons to aim your reticle and analog nub to move. The L button will lock on to targets, but there's no real way to cycle through locked on enemies, instead having to release the target button and press it again. It's kind of weird, but you get used to it.

You have a few gadgets, including some crazy spy goggles, a la Splinter Cell. But overall, the game seems pretty generic, if not solid. I sort of got the impression that I've been here, done that before in better conditions (ie, not on a handheld).

It seems like it's going to be a solid game, but nothing too special or innovative. You can pick up the demo at EB/Gamestop/whatever with a reserve or some employee coaxing.

I just got the Beta in the mail today and I'm not sure what I think of it. I can't say I like the Auto lock on they had with Socom, but using the Dpad for climbing and changing weapons..ugh. The PsP really could've used two Analog sticks, but I won't hold that against it. The game does play really well online and the single player looks like a blasty blast.

For those with concerns about the control system, try one of the alternate control configurations see if they help at all....

Actually I and others would really appreciate if some of you would try the alternate controller options and then post your thoughts.... with the game running pause it and check the pause menu.

Because of this pic (and obviously the others like it, but this is the one that impressed me the most) I am buying this game. I hate the Syphon Filter series, I hated the first Syphon Filter, but if the team can pull this shit off on a PSP, I'm willing to believe all that I've heard in the past few years about how Syphon Filter has gotten better as a series. :D

Much better. Though it seems kind of less detailed now.

they lost some detail/definition because i saved it at "medium" quality via photoshop so that the image sizes were 56k manageable.

Now I'm even more pissed that UPS didn't leave my beta package today.....they needed a signature.

So tomorrow between 2-4pm cst I shall have this. :D

Actually, I thought SF1 was the best. Washington Park was an amazing level.
