The visuals are giving me The Outer Worlds cartoony style vibes, which i dont really like, but i hope its as atmospheric as System Shock 2, i think they could have done a better job at the art direction, it looks weak. Maybe I'll change my mind when its released.

You're missing out if you haven't experienced the brilliance of System Shock 2. The first game, while just as influencial, it's a little harder to recommend due to the controls.
It's constantly on sale on both Steam and GOG for just a couple of bucks.

Its influence on the industry cannot be understated. You can trace its DNA to masterpieces like Alien: Isolation, Mass Effect, Dead Space, Solarix, SOMA, Deus Ex, and even games like both Subnautica titles.

There's also that Xerox job Arkane Studios did but at that point you may as well just play the Looking Glass masterpiece.

What a transformation an engine switch can provide, from the stuttery mess of a Unity code (even in WIP footage) to a near perfect (fingers crossed and hope for a buttery smooth day 1 version) experience, albeit not being final code.

I don't have any problems of this slipping into 2022, in fact please do and take all your time, Nightdive.

Just want the best launch possible, now that the IP ownership is back to them, and they have all the freedom to do what they want...

So excited for this one, I really loved the Turok remasters and I've never played any of SS1 so can't wait to experience it. The effects, especially alpha effects, in this video are awesome too, that red engine hazard thingie looked awesome.

SS2 Remake already came out right? I was waiting to play this one first.
