TAIKO: Drum Master Goes Gold

Haven't got your fix of drum pounding yet? Namco's got you taken care of.
For the second time this quarter, a drum based Namco-developed title has gone gold. This time around, it's TAIKO: Drum Master that's been sent off to the pressing plant.
"Get ready to rock because TAIKO: Drum Master is nearly here," exclaimed Garry Cole, executive vice president at Namco Hometek Inc. "With its diverse song catalog and whimsical graphics, TAIKO: Drum Master will establish a new standard of fun for players of all ages when it ships later this month."
Unlike the GameCube only Donkey Konga, TAIKO is a PlayStation 2 exclusive. Much like Donkey Konga, however, TAIKO has players beating on the included TAIKO drum controller in conjunction with on-screen indicators and the selected song. Over 30 songs are featured, ranging from My Sharona to Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 to Katamari on the Rocks (as heard in Katamari Damacy).
TAIKO: Drum Master is expected to begin shipping October 26th.
