Are you hopelessly disappointed at the TGA GOTY nominees? Raging mad at last night's winner? Or just want to share your favorite game of 2025 with your fellow GAFers? You've come to the right place!
So how does this work?
-----Inspired by CrimsonTide 's many giveaway threads (and shoutout to him for helping me vet this), the idea is simple: giveaway a copy (or more if you choose!) of your personal GOTY for 2025. By doing so you will get to claim a copy of someone else's GOTY! To keep things manageable, this thread will run from now until noon Eastern on Saturday.
Rules:
- To participate in the thread, you MUST give something back to the community. There are no freebies here.
- The game you giveaway must be from 2025 (more on eligible games below).
- Steam keys only, for sake of simplicity and not dealing with region issues.
- When posting a giveaway, state the name of the game you're giving away and quantity.
- To claim someone's giveaway, quote/reply to their post - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. If someone is giving away multiple copies, they are claimed in chronological order of replies. In your reply, you must include the name of the game you are going to give away.
- You do not need to claim someone's give away in order to give away your own.
- At the conclusion of the timed event, send whoever claimed your game the key or your Steam username (for direct Steam gifting) via DM. You are welcome to do this earlier, but encourage everyone to wait and let the thread settle. All posters are asked to send their give aways no later than 12 hours after the conclusion.
- Don't be a dick. It's Christmas.
ANYONE WHO POSTS A GIVEAWAY BUT DOESN'T SEND IT WILL RECEIVE A 30-DAY BAN.

)What games are eligible?
------If you are participating, the game you give away must adhere to the following criteria:
- Released in 2025 (duh)
- Remakes (eg Oblivion Remake) are eligible
- Remasters/re-releases are NOT eligible (including ports of games released in prior years)
- Games that exited Early Access in 2025 are eligible
- Major Paid Expansions (eg Destiny Renegades) are eligible
- All other DLC including battle passes, cosmetics, in-game currency or items are NOT eligible (usually can't gift this stuff anyway)
- Must have a MC/OC score of 75 or greater (this is to prevent people from putting up shovelware... but if you have a game that is truly your GOTY and doesn't meet this criteria, DM me)
FAQs
-----Q: I tried to claim someone's giveaway but got beat. What should I do?
A: If you don't want to participate anymore, just edit your post and delete the contents entirely. If you still want to give away something, just remove the quote.
Q: Can I give away something without claiming someone else's, but then claim another user's give away later in the thread?
A: Yes! You can claim as many games as you've given (eg if you giveaway 2 copies of Expedition 33, you can claim 2 other user's giveaways). Quote your original post you gave away in so the person knows you've completed a give away.
Q: Is this like a secret santa?
A: Not really. Everyone's giving away their personal GOTY, so you don't get to dictate or ask for what someone gives away in order to claim your give away.
Q: I gave away the $99 version of Borderlands 4 but the person who claimed it is giving away Silksong, which is only $20. WTF?
A: People are giving away copy of their personal GOTY to share with the community. It's not about value, it's about trading great games and paying it forward. Don't be a Scrooge.
Q: Someone claimed my give away but didn't put their own give away in the reply, or it doesn't meet the criteria in the OP.
A: Do not send that person the game. The next person who quoted you that fulfills the criteria gets it.
Q: I claimed someone's giveaway but they never sent it to me?
A: Name and shame them in the thread here, and DM me. I will try to get you taken care of.
