I was just reading the december issue of Game Informer and it has a little calendar like EGM and on december 31st they have these three games being released:

SEGA Classics Collection - PS2
Team Fortress 2 - PC
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe - Ps2

Now I know this isn't going to happen but is the game closer to release than I think? I've been waiting close to forever for it and the teasing sucks This is the only place i've heard anything about TF2 all year and it seems an unlikely way to announce it.

Agreed, it sucks. And I haven't heard thing one about TF2, especially after the whole Half-Life 2 hacking fiasco.

As much as I would love to see it happen, I don't expect it anytime soon. Though Valve has been rather deceiving in the past... The denial of them planning on having any deathmatch after release in an interview comes to mind..

Well its got to be soon if HL2 out, right?. Three years ago it looked like they were practically done. My hopeless dreams only lead to further disappointment.

There was a folder for TF2 in the leaked Alpha, but I'm not sure what it contained (if anything). Who knows, maybe it will be coming sooner than we think.

That was probably true at the time. EVERYBODY moaned and bitched so they released it. I looks like it took a couple of hours to knock up...

From what I could see of TF2 it was going in the wrong direction anyway. Realistic physics and hit damage, CS style one shot kills. Fuck that. I want the same totally unrealistic, Shwarznegger style movie gameplay of TFC - using grenades to traverse the map ect. Fuck realism.
