EBGames and Gamestop both list Tekken 5 for 2/22. Is this old news now? I didn't think that the game was coming out so soon, and in the U.S.

Has a Japanese release date been given yet?

Yeah. Supposedly Fire Emblem for GC comes out February 2, 2005 according to Gamestop, too.

It's very old news. And there isn't a Japanese relesae date yet.

I'm thinking it's way too good to be true, but who knows. It does seem like it's going to be a very early release. There's already pics and info about the boxart, new modes and new opening intro and Namco has always said Q1 2005. I just can't see it coming so early.

Old news but Namco swears by the Q1 release date. I'll believe it when I play it. It always takes Namco months to bring out the US versions of their games and the japanese version isn't even coming out for a little while still. I'd be shocked if they were able to bring it over 1 month after the Japanese version came out and I'd be even more shocked if the US version shipped first.

You gotta remember, though; it's more popular here than in Japan. That wouldn't be too far out of the question.

Yeah, that's the only reason I can see it as a possibility, but in the past it's always taken them ages to bring them to the US.
