I need tips for some small text editing program, akin to Notepad, that counts characters. That's all. Small and simple would be preferrable, but actually anything with character-counting would be fine.

In case anyone's wondering why, it's how we measure text length in Europe (or at least Sweden), and I have to write 3000 characters and I'm pretty sick of going the long way of saving and seeing how many bytes my file is.

Any tips are appreciated, thanks!
