For the 54th year in a row, we, the viewing public, get to watch as the Grammy voters get a lot things hilariously wrong, but get just enough right to give us the slightest sliver of hope for next year. But aside from the joy of bashing the awards and/or claiming how irrelevant they are, there's plenty to look forward too! First are the performances, among them we've got some chances for greatness (Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Sir Paul!), and some train wrecks waiting to happen (Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, the Dance/Electronica segment!). When Kanye inevitably wins Best Rap Album, if he's there, he might deliver the best "Fuck You" acceptance speech since Michael Jordan went into the Basketball Hall of Fame. There's the possibility that Grammy voters will troll everyone by naming Skrillex or Nicki Minaj Best New Artist. If Trey Stone, co-creator of South Park, wins the Grammy he is nominated for, he will be 75% of the way to an EGOT! The 54th Annual Grammy Awards, tonight at 8 PM on America's #1 Network (because your grandfather falls asleep with it on) CBS!
