The Age of Bhaarat - Official Announcement Trailer

Music aside it looks good.

Not bad at all. Looks kinda like Indian Wukong, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Graphics look nice. Gameplay and animations could use some touch-ups.
Keeping an eye on it.

Premise is cool. VO is terrible and the writing is worse, would've worked better in Hindu and translates that way you're at least thinking it sounds better in the OG language.

I'm all for more cultural games other than Norse and Japanese.

There was a country specific indie sale on Steam and India indie scene have been going strong with Mumbai Gaming Con gaining traction.

Combat looks so bad wow, hope they can make it through. Might research on them who these guys are.

>Indian studio
>A game about Indian nationalism
>Protagonist looks like a white guy with a slight tan
Indians are not too keen on indian MCs. They want black hulk or white hunk to play as.

Pretty impressive visuals.

New studio making something first time so expectations in check.

Kinda insane level of visual fidelity considering its their first attempt. Dunno how is that being made possible.

Maybe it's just me, but I find these Unreal Engine 5 graphics ugly and boring. They all look the same. The more realistic-looking these graphics get, the more unappealing they become to me somehow.

Asia sees having dark skin as working class. Not a matter of race but of social divide. Your mistake is thinking India, or China, or Japan, prefer dark skin when they do not.
In the West the working class now work indoors so the association with dark skin is lost.

The only thing that really stood out as bad was the lack of enemy reactions while being hit. The Sekiro-style swing animation isn't there yet either.

Interesting setting but the gameplay looks legit terrible.
Yeah. Although, during the opening cinematic I was legit expecting it to cut to a tower defense mobile game lol. But they need to get someone to direct combat and traversal. It looks very janky right now.

To all the OPs out there: You should put a descriptor next to the title of the game announced to we have some idea of what it is. I guessed correctly due to the title of the game but I got lucky. This time.

Animations look too janky and amateur. They should try to get the animations right, even the running stance looks straight copy from Black Myth Wukong.

so Indians don't look like this?

There are literally millions of people here who do not look like that. Also, 90% of the population do not wear turbans. That's a stereotype perpetuated by western media. But, like the other commenter said, we don't expect a foreigner to know any better.

The only thing disgusting is the colorism that exists in Indian culture and the strive to whiten skin and look as european as possible.
Jesus fuck, my dude. It is one thing to be ignorant of foreign cultures, that's ok. But where do you get off making comments luke that ? You have no freaking clue what it's like here. We have 999 problems, but colorism is a thing of the past.

GAF is tolerant of a lot of things but you're just trying to be racist now. Instead, i would suggest, take a deep breath and get off the internet for a while. Or atleast try not to write about something you know nothing about.

Indian mythology is really interesting and is basically built for video games, but the gameplay looks a bit rough.
I looked up the developer and this seems to be their first video game. So far what I'm seeing isn't bad for a first outing, as I don't expect any first time dev like this to create Sekiro or God of War on their first shot.

The trailer spent too long telling me what it's time for, but when I got to the gameplay I started to understand why.

It would be nice to see the gameplay improved. I like the concept but gameplay is the only thing that really matters so I can't see myself getting this in its current state.

Fingers crossed.
