If covid is continuing than why not focus on releasing the movie to streaming services? What an announcement but good intentions behind it.

Everyone wants to wait until the movie industry exists again, but if everyone does it, the industry won't exist again.

How can we go see movies when we're supposed to be hiding in our bunkers, pulling our mask down only to put a bite of food in our mouth and then moving the mask back up?

Yeah I’m sad to say I’d rather they just go pay per view digital services. I live going to the movies! But I have had big movie nights at home this year with my family as well with digital premieres.

Does Robert Pattinson (or whoever it was) still supposedly have COVID?

Sure haven't heard anything since that *story* first broke out.

Edit: Ah but of course, he had a miraculous recovery!

Supposedly, Pattinson didn't have Covid. He actually showed up to the set not muscular enough and the Covid announcement was meant to buy time for him to get into shape. Unfortunately for the production, according to the rumor he's still looking skinny.

Another year of Hollywood enhanced muscle gains on a diet consisting of just chicken breast and broccoli would probably be absolutely huge for Pattinson.

Not entirely necessary I suppose since Keaton is still my favorite Batman.

At first I was ok or indifference for Pattinson but there's too much smoke to not be a dumpster fire casting.

Remember the BIG NEWS Rob Pat had COVID?

Why wasn't it BIG NEWS when it magically "went away"? I sure never heard about it quietly going away. Convenient!

Oh cuz the news wasn't sexy enough. Nice agenda assholes.

People shitting on Pattinson no matter what he does or doesn't do, water is wet.

Comic book fans are so childish it is insane, yes he should keep himself fit for the role but no matter what he will still be the best Batman on screen, the guy is one of the very top class actors around atm.

I dunno where the truth is. Pattinson’s always had a laissez faire/devil may care attitude. Except if it’s “actors material”. Whether people hate or respect that..it makes me question A.) Why they cast him. B.) Why he wanted it.

I’m inclined to believe there’s some fuckery going around but who knows. I really dgaf about an actor being super buff or whatever to portray a role. Cause Keaton, or hell Maguire in SM2 and especially 3. Or even besides RDJ lifting weights for a while, guy’s short AF. Smoke and mirrors. So, guess we’ll see.

Another perspective debunking rumor!

I don't worry about Pattinson. He looked goof in the trailer and he seems very professional. I don't expect him to pull a Christian Bale but I expect he will rise to the occasion. I don't buy the "covid was to cover for him not being in shape" conspiracy.

Really looking forward to the movie and hope it does justice to Batman.

I don't know if I buy all this. DVD to me is more for entertainment than anything. If you watched his channel leading up to the release of episode 9 you're well aware that half the stuff he brings up is kinda goofy.

I'm interested in seeing how Hollywood tries to adapt to this whole thing. Movies like this that were already in production when this started are getting screwed and they basically just have to try and salvage what they can. What are they going to do?

I'm sure a lot more are going to go to VOD. Personally I would love if studios started releasing their new movies on a pay per view basis in VR apps where you can hang out with other friends and watch.

I don't know about him being the best Batman but I do agree he is a better actor than people want to give him credit for. Twilight was more or less a decade ago. Watch him in his more recent movies like The Rover, High Life, The Lighthouse, Tenet etc. And you know the script will likely be good because Matt Reeves is writer and director. For me, that's enough to be entertained.

Any AAA actor can do Batman. It's not like it's a very complex role to carry.

However, I'd expect that someone making millions of dollars for a few months of work to be professional enough to put up the effort to get in shape. I mean, a lot of people do it just because it's healthy and others do it to make money through social networks and such. Why not him considering he has all the support in the world in the form of top of the line trainers, nutritionists and cheffs?

Come on, in my industry (IT) sometimes they request to be certified in something and the expectation is that you keep up with the requirements.

No reason to expect anything less from a pro actor.

Robert wasn't a problem after all, hopefully those comic book fetishists shut their mouths and let the golden boy do what he does best.

I am surprised at all this. For a movie that is supposedly plagued with such troubles that was an incredible trailer. I don't even buy the movie is only 25 percent done. You can't have a trailer in such a state at only 25 percent done. It seems to cover the scope of the movie pretty well. You just can't shoot the best parts and fill in the rest later, maybe you can but maybe that is the problem, just show us the good stuff and figure out the rest later?

We don’t know if Pattinson is a Problem or not! Could just be bad interpretations of events! This Covid thing is unprecedented and has affected many movie Delays!

I regularly watch both DVD and Mr H, they are both passionate about the industry! They try to give us information. We as fans who clamor for news of favorite our pastime/hobby form our opinions if they are true or not.

I trie not to be biased and share both sides of the information!

A new Batman movie(with a new guy in the suit no less) is a huge draw and will help get people back into theaters, so its smart to try and keep it till they know it's all back to normal

Dumbest shit i ever watched with no actual source, pure propaganda and click bait

Do people have any actual complaints about Robert Pattinson being Batman based on what we've seen of the filming? I think he looks good in the suit.

hE lOoKs LiKe A eMo - "Comic Book Fetishists"

They of course, don't know how good of an actor Rob is, as they don't watch any films outside of Comic Book Movies.

You can't just shake off that twilight shit. Then try to take on a role even Affleck struggled with.

I've seen actors shake off typecasting but this reminds me of that sci fi Time movie with Justin Timberlake. You just can't take him seriously in the role because you have strong associations in your mind with his face for something else.

The audience is not the problem here. Sorry. But this was a stupid idea from the start.

If you can't appreciate his performances in recent years that were deserving of Oscars because of Twilight then you can't say you know film or are a mature person.

He hasn't had one bad performance since Twilight ended, he has kept getting better and better, he was the best thing about those awful films. There is a reason the film industry rates him yet childish keyboard warriors don't, as they're immature and can't handle someone who was in Twilight becoming one of the best actors to ever wear the cowl.

Robert is a far better actor than Keaton, Kilmer, Affleck and Clooney for one, and he has the potential to surpass Bale.

Watch Good Time, The Lighthouse, The Devil All The Time, The Lost City Of Z, TENET, High Life, The Rover or Bel Ami then come back and try to compare him to fucking Justin Timberlake.

The only movie there on my radar is Tenet and with covid our cinemas are closed and its not on any of my digital services.

If its not on my radar its probably not on the majority of Batman's audience either.

He chose to do Twilight. Its not my problem.

He's had many amazing performances, if you can't be bothered to acknowledge that or watch them to keep your agenda then it's only your problem.
