Worms 3D is finally out! I need to go pick up a copy later tonight! I've been holding out for the Xbox version! 20 bucks!

Worms multiplayer is awesome. Can't wait to try out this latest version!

good luck... but don't be disappointed when the XBL community completely ruins the experience for you.

XBL - best idea, worst people.

I loved 2d worms, but worms 3d didn't feel right when I played the OXM demo..

I hope they make a 2D Worms for the DS. Could be great with the touchscreen.

If not, just another 2D Worms game in general.

On-line gaming is like communism - It's great in theory but breaks down in practice because most people are basically assholes.

I knew this thread wasn't about Phantom Dust since it wasn't out yet. But I also knew it was falsely representing the best $20 Xbox Live game as something other than Phantom Dust (and Guilty Gear X2#R).

Communism is crappy in theory too.

Worms 3D is fun multiplayer. It takes much longer to get used to chucking things in 3D versus 3D, but its doable. My biggest complaint is the lack of caverns (ie. every stage has water, and the prod really can push a worm far, resulting in some matches becoming poke fests. Still wormpot helps keep the game fresh, and the destructible 3D environment is very cool. I love calling a air strike and blowing a hole through the roof of a bunker where an enemy worm is hiding.

Worms 3D blows hard. It was sad seeing my friend try to convince himself it was worth $30 (PC version). We were back to playing Armageddon within a week.

I'm glad the game is finally out, but after playing the OXM demo, I just can't seem to convince myself it's worth the $20. Perhaps I'll find a used copy.... but until then I'll continue playing Armageddon and World Party. Silly of me to have thought that the "forts" version coming out would go back to 2D.

Worms Armaggeddon is still the best in the series!! So much fun!

You arent kidding. My BIGGEST pissed off moment was during NFL 2K5. 12 year old jerk off switches sides to my team and WONT leave it. I was livid.

You can't boot him... so I tricked the system. I yanked the online cord and HE got charged for the loss due to me scoring first. CHOKE ON THAT ONE LAME ASS!

Communism (and live) does not work, because in a society bigger than say a 100 people, people just don't have time or resources to bond and learn to trust everybody else. People start to regard each others as objects and as means to an end.
The solution is of course to make smaller communities where people know and like each other and have time and a reason to do that.

I think that's why the dorm Counter-Strike server worked so well when I was in college. It was mostly the same 50 or so people playing it every day.
