So The Blow are coming to Toronto this saturday and I'm still on the fence about whether I should go see them or not. A friend says they were lacklustre when they came to town with Mirah last year but the bootlegs I mooched from fart sounded like they put on a good show.

Anyone seen them live? Should my $7 go elsewhere?

look man for 7 bucks, anything live is good...unless its polka or something, or really untalented muscians, or angsty nu metal...well i guess not anything is good no matter what the price.
i just saw deerhoof for 10 bucks on tuesday (thanx lambtron and whiteman) and it was easily one of the most fun shows i've ever attended.
but anyway, let me check out the mp3s and see if this band's actually any good.

Haven't seen them live, but enjoy them. I'd say go for it for $7.

Most shows here are really cheap, unless it's a relatively big band. Heck, I just paid 15 bucks for Trail of Dead, and that Deerhoof/Xiu Xiu/The Gossip/The Decemberists show was 8 bucks.

khaela is awesome but she did break phil's heart so there's a little there.

still, she's awesome. even on her bad days i would not hesitate to enjoy her performance.

ps, the last time she toured with mirah she lost her voice around when they hit the east coast.

You know a show is going to be good when you have to walk through an dark alley to get to the venue. Jason needs more live Khaela.
