You want to be taken seriously as an actress. You do some decent films, to some acclaim....but you're not taking over the world like Julia Roberts. So why on earth would you decide that giving Vincent Gallo a blowjob on film would be the kicker to vault you into superstardom?

Seriously, do you even HAVE an agent? Does s/he hate your guts? Holy shit. From Kids, Gummo and Boys Don't Cry to sucking schlong in the name of art.

Funny thing is in interviews Gallo basically admits he only cast her because his wanted to fuck her for ages and could only nail it on celluloid.

Is this the movie that made Gallo swear he'll never make another movie again because of the horribly negative feedback he received or something?
 
Has anyone else seen it? It went on a lot longer than I figured it would. I assumed it would be a quick glance but it shows her blowing him for a good 2 minutes.

Regardless, I don't think it's that big of a deal. Well, I guess it is but I'm definitely in favor of knocking down some of the barriers in film.

Also, it should be noted, the film has gotten much better reviews now that it's actually finished.

I saw this in the theater the day it came out here, and thought it was absolutely horrendous. Yet, it was interesting enough or something to keep me awake at a midnight showing. I don't make it through many midnight showing.

The blowjob scene is pretty hilarious, though. I love Gallo's whiny voice: "Suck my dick, slut."

You know what would be awsome? If some writer/director/actor of a film does a scene with some famous chick like this, and then cuts it out. "Yeah, turns out we didn't really have to do this scene.... in fact, it wasn't even in the script. I can't believe you fell for that!"

Gummo was a horrible excuse for cinema, but Kids is great.

And god bless Chloe for her excursion into "Italian Cinema." I'd love to see Jennifer Love Hewitt follow in her knee pads.
 
I've spent almost two years looking for a clip of this scene...still no luck.

Funny thing about Chloe...in some pics she looks freakish or even manly, at least as far as her face goes. In other pics she looks very, very hittable. People like that are wierd.

I have no idea why any of you want to see the scene. The only good thing about it is how hilariously awful Vincent Gallo acts his way through it. He sounds like a whiny 12-year-old. Apart from that, the scene is hideously unsexy, and you learn what the culmination of all the non-events of the movie amounts to. And let me tell you something, it's not fucking worth it.

God, if someone steps in here and tries saying the movie is good, here's a little pre-emptive Fuck You.

I'm not going to bother saying more. It's beyond me how Ebert went from calling this movie the worst piece of shit ever to giving it a three-star rating just because 20 or so minutes were cut. True, 20 minutes is a lot. But when you're talking about a movie that's 95% Vincent Gallo driving a van or riding a motorcycle for 15 minutes, I can't imagine what those 20 minutes were. I hear some of what was cut was the intro. Here's the intro: The exciting sight and sound of motorcycles running laps around a dirt track, for five straight minutes. THRILLING.
 
This isn't that far out there considering she was never a Hollywood starlet nor did it ever seem like she wanted to play the Hollywood game. Consciously or not, she has placed herself outside the bubble of Hollywood with the her persona and the characters she's played.

Also, it's not like she just went down on any ol actor, it was with the eccentric Gallo, who has his own unique following.

This won't hurt her credibility as an actress what's so ever.

seriously late to the party on this one guys. this oral sex "controversey" had its 15 minutes like a year and a half ago.

i loved how ebert came back from trashing it at cannes and gave it 3 stars.
 
I heard about this movie a while ago but I haven't seen the footage in question. I assume the entire movie is just built around that one scene. It's not the first mainstream movie to have an on-screen blowjob though, I remember seeing some movie a while back with this artsy blowjob scene (not a porno)....can't remember which movie.
