The Capcom Five Thread

Welp, they're all out now. So I guess now's the time to look back and talk about what you expected out of the Capcom 5, your favourites, what you thought of their eventual non-exclusitivty,etc.

For my own part, I know that Resident Evil 4 is an incredible game. I know it's got pretty much everything a game should have. But personally, I preferred Viewtiful Jow and Killer 7 over it. They were both just...more quirky, more interesting, and more special.

(If anyone has a brainfart, the Capcom 5 is Dead Phoenix(Cancelled),P.N.O.3(GC),Viewtiful Joe(PS2,GC), Resident Evil 4(GC/soon to be PS2), and Killer 7(GC/PS2)).

EDIT:Fixed.

P.S.: Lakers suck.

Resident Evil 4- Game of the Year 2005
Viewtiful Joe- Best GameCube Action Game 2004
Killer 7- Most Unique Game of 2005
P.N.03- Bargin Bin Library Addition

Viewtiful Joe and Resi 4 are my favorites by a long shot. Viewtiful Joe just made my top 50 games of all time list (#49), and Resident Evil 4 is actually in my top 10. So I'd say the Capcom 5 was a rousing success for that alone!

I despise PN03, and I thought Killer 7 was merely decent. Killer 7 had problems like ridiculous, horribly designed PSX-era puzzles and irritating limitations/control quirks, but the story, bosses, etc...etc.. were all extremely memorable. PN03 had no redeeming factors.

Viewtiful Joe should be the most successful out of them all, considering that it has since become a franchise that is now coming to even the DS and PSP. I personally loved it.

EDIT: And oh yeah, I think Dead Phoenix would have been a great game if done right.

Of all the Capcom 5 the one I was looking forward to the most (other than Re4) was Dead Phoenix. There simply aren't enough good 3D shooters.

I loved Panzer Dragoon Orta, I was hoping to get a similar experience out of Dead Phoenix.

I like VJ and RE4, but I think it's funny how these were the big Gamecube exclusives when they were first announced and the only one that was released that didn't make it to PS2 was P.N.03 (not a big loss)
