Ok, CK and I are having an AWESOME game. Game comes down to whoever makes the least mistakes. We go to overtime after some KEY stops by both our defense. In the first overtime, we keep going back and forth and having to punt.



CK starts driving....
Completion to Shockey. To GiantsWR1. To GiantsWR2. Back to Shockey. Suddenly, there's CK near the 32 yard line....and it's 4th down and long. Oh fuck...in comes the kicking team!

We keep going back and forth...CK punts with no time left at the end of OT, satisfied with getting the tie. Out of bounds it goes...and I put my controller down.

So anyway, the 2nd overtime goes a LOT like the first overtime. Bunch of first downs, followed by a punt around the 50. Then...CK plotted a GENIUS plan, and I do not know how I missed the obvious signs.

Now, CK must have somehow KNOWN that I keep my headset behind my PS2, and I grab it whenever I need it. Also behind my PS2, is a shitty ethernet cable that doesn't have the little lever to lock it in place and release when pressed down. CK DEFINATELY had to have known this...

It was an epic battle in Madden ladies and gents. The two familiar foes CK and Mig (Who I own, by the way http://www.easports.com/games/madde...me=CrazyKillah&platform=ps2&server=madden2005) battled to a deadlock at the end of regulation for a score of 21-21.

After an overtime session in which we got nowhere fast, I was set up at the 32 for a 49 yard field goal to win the game. Pressure kick, no problem, I had done them before. I nailed it before the snap... 100 power, 93 accuracy. I looked over to IRC to taunt my surely defeated opponent. Looked back only to see the ball clang off the front of the crossbar...

...My incredible defense had to regroup, now the Texans had decent field position. And regroup we did forcing him to punt! Held onto the ball for the remainder of OT, satisfied with a tie. However the game went into a second overtime my friends, yes, apparently exhibition games can't end with ties! After much battling and posturing, I tell Mig that maybe we should head over into headset chat and spare the IRC denizens having to see our crazy typings. At which point, he forfeits the game! Just like that! Don't listen to his BS about some connection failure or whatever, he was scared of a legitimate loss!
