I refuse to watch this fight out of principle. Sly was a total tool during the last match. "This is one of the greatest matches ever! I'd pay to see this!!!111". He said garbage like that barely after the first punch was thrown.

i watched two matches and I couldn't take anymore. that's not boxing... that's brawling with gloves. I mean, you've got the matches trimmed to 5 rounds, so of course all these dumbasses do is throw haymakers all day. They have no need to worry about getting tired because they've only got 15 minutes of total work to do. Most of these guys dance around a speedbag for way longer than that, and they don't get breaks in between workouts.

it's just sooo fake that I was just hoping to see the Brooklyn Brawler come out of nowhere and slam Slater with a chair during those lockerroom interviews, then have Eric Bischoff come out and look all tough. what a farce.

and the best news of the nite? SLY IS STARTING TO FILM ROCKY 6 IN DECEMBER!!! :(
 
this was probably the highest rated boxing show espn has had in years and the judges fucked it all up.

Their last fight I went for Latin Snake. He won.
This fight I didn't expect the Snake to win this fight really but I can't believe he won.
He fought like garbage and still won.
THE LATIN SNAKE IS CHAMP AGAIN!

Same judges as last time no? That explains it.

This shit is amazing. I mean i on both fights. I didnt want Bonsante to win but he got Robbed. Same thing with Manfredo.

either they need to figure out a way to eliminate judges from the boxing game, or the government needs to step in and overhaul the whole thing. Get rid of all the shady promoters and millions of different "governing bodies". Have one title for every weightclass. Regulate this shit.
 
Manfredo had the fight won but he lost it because he stopped being aggressive in the later rounds. This happens in so many fights where the contender assumes too much about the judge's cards.

Not like Mora is a real "champion", but Manfredo should have kept his aggression for the 2nd half of the fight too.
 
Fucking bogus! I mean my dead granmother couldn't have scored that fight better than those idiots...christ...how do these people get to judge fights anyway?

isnt it usually like an ex-boxer, a media person, and some suit from some boxing establishment? im not even sure. it should be all ex-boxers.

I think tonight showed why boxing is flawed.

I mean how do these judges see a completely different fight than the people in the stands and at home..

Jesse Brinkley vs Anthony Bonsante was a fuckin travesty. Everyone down to the janitor in the back closet of the staples center knew that Bonsante won... Atlas was going crazy and so was the trainer from the show Tommy.

Then, then the main event. A fight that was not overly dominated by one boxer, and the judges manage to screw that one up to. At least manfredo had the balls to call Sergio out and tell him he didnt win that fight.

And what the hell is up with Slater doing commentary.

Anyway, i am glad that the contender is coming back on ESPN in April for Season 2.
 
Are these actual judges or celebrity type judges, that was pathetic. Teddy Atlas should have shouted that the fix was in, I can come to no other conclusion about it other than that or sheer incompetence.
