I was watching Icons on Tech TV just now and they had the whole show dedicated to Yu Suzuki. He is such an accomplished individual. Before he interviewed with SEGA he studied a bit of dentistry. When I played the masterpiece known as Shenmue II 2 years ago, later in the game in an apartment building I opened a door on a floor and there was a fully modeled dentists office in it complete with dentist tools. My reaction was omfg this guy is unreal. He builds this huge monstrous game and puts a fully modeled dentists office in it. The level of detail in Shenmue II is amazing. I also learned that the Virtua Fighter arcade cabintes 1, II, and III are in the Smithsonian which blew me away. Yu Suzuki is also an accomplished artist and he was the recipient of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame award. The episode is a must watch for anyone who plays video games.
