This game truly feels like a forever game to me. The gameplay and the grinding both are just too much.
And undoubtedly one of the best open world Gaas games.

I've played the base game over the last few weeks and just started the first DLC.

I've enjoyed it but it's lacking players.

What on earth? I thought this game was dead years ago?
It consistently had enough players clinging to it that Ubisoft woke up and had to acknowledge this game needs updates couple of years ago.
Steam probably have the least number of players. I see console players a lot and probably 70% of PC players are on UPlay (as dlcs are non transferable).

They announced Division 3 in production in 2023. So probably by 2027 we might see it.

Bought and downloaded. 16gb update it's about 10hrs of content only €15.

And in classic ubi style servers are offline until 7pm UK time.

I was so hyped on the Division games, then I tried the demo and realised they're bullet sponge games, totally ruined it for me. Unloading mags into a dude with little to no armour just kills the flow.

I think I kinda got burnt out on the original division 2 so never tried warlords.

Is warlords required to play Brooklyn?
I don't think so. It has a separate map to do dlc things, just like how Battle for Brooklyn would be.
Although WONY expansion had good content and becomes penny equivalent on sales. Story is TRAASH!!, just buy for the gameplay and beautiful New York map.

College kids are looking at this thinking " I remember this when I was a kid"
The state of this industry man..

Finished the base game and bought Warlords of New York but forget if I finished that. EDIT: Looks like I did, based on an achievement.

Really tempted to get back in depending on what kind of content this update has. Would have to buy the DLC or upgrade the game's edition.

I have always started Division and never finished it.. I wanted to make a push to jump into warlords but it fell out of my view.. and its not like i didnt like the game i just kept jumping into something else. Now i'd have to start over since i let my xbox go, no cross-save between consoles, i think.. i could be wrong.

Discover the exciting game mode, "Descent," which arrived in The Division 2 alongside Year 5 Season 1: Broken Wings! It is now accessible to all owners of The Division 2 base game. Dive into the action from absolute zero and showcase your prowess in decision-making, strategic thinking, and adaptability.

Can you confirm it's free? Bargain for a tenner!
Sorry for late reply.

But apparently they have made a new ultimate edition now. Old ultimate edition that I bought is nowhere to be seen in store. I just own all the content from old UE separately.

So, its not free for me.

The division 1 had so much potential if they just added enemy varieties and expanded the map and added some more stuff. Division 2 was just such a weird choice of setting

The 'Big Division 2 Project' Will Be Revealed at Gamescom

Ubisoft has revealed that two panels centered around The Division 2 will take place at Gamescom next week
The team will be hosting a meet-and-greet event alongside two presentations designed to reveal the future of The Division 2, including the 'big Division 2 project' that Ubisoft has just started talking about.

It was also noted that The Division: Resurgence, the all-new mobile game that's in development now, will be showcased.

"The Division 2 will be at Gamescom this year, with two panels and two meet-and-greets.

Our first panel will take a look at the creative and art direction behind Battle for Brooklyn, and we'll also give you a small glimpse at what's coming next for the seasons.

In our second panel, we'll talk about how your feedback is shaping The Division 2, share some updates about The Division: Resurgence, and reveal more about the 'big Division 2 project'. We've only just started teasing it, but we're really excited to give you an update."

Battle for Brooklyn was released earlier this year and was met with positive sentiments from the community. After more than six years, The Division 2 is still alive and well, and judging from Ubisoft's comments, it's about to get even better.
