Although my original assumption about your list being PS2-centric was wrong, I do have a more accurate observation.
You don't seem to have any favorite music from pre-CD-based games, and your favorite soundtracks come almost entirely from Japanese developers.
...that's a bad thing? What are you trying to prove? I could say that, based on my observations, you have a strong Nintendo bias, mainly in the area of older music and have an unwillingness to accept many things that don't fall into those categories.
Like I said, that is an incomplete list. That only consists of music that I have soundtracks to. You want to know which older soundtracks I like?
Without a pre-formed list, it's harder to come up with music...but off the top of my head...
Megaman 1-3, Super Metroid, Batman (NES), Castlevania (damn near all of them), Contra 3, Star Ocean, Actraiser, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic the Hedgehog (1-K), Axelay, Chrono Trigger, FF6, Sonic CD, F-Zero, Radical Dreamers, Earthworm Jim (CD versions), Megaman X, Zelda 3, Seiken Densetsu 2, Sub-Terrania, Metal Gear 2, and plenty more (including non-console stuff that I can't even remember).
Also, nationality of the composer has nothing to do with my enjoyment of the music.
Out of that list, here are the non-Japanese scores. You also need to keep in mind that many MANY more game soundtracks are released in Japan than in any other country. With that in mind, what exactly did you expect?
