internet sky package is £30 a/mo? fuck :(

My parents are looking at moving off virgin media to BT soon and getting a bundle with sky sports included for no extra cost but it's not going to happen overnight, hnnnnng

Take that, Ferrari! :p

"It is still snowing heavily here in Maranello. Therefore, the launch ceremony of the new F1 car has been cancelled."

I just watched the McLaren event video..

I think teams should stop these non-sense events! just release some pics

Why not?

1. The team that built the car will be proud of the work they put in and want to unveil it in a special way. It takes a lot of hard work to get to this point.

2. It's a good way to give their sponsors some encouragement and optimism and also exposure (like how McLaren spoke about Vodafone).

3. The worlds media will have questions and it's better to have it all happen in one place at the one time instead of setting up multiple interviews here and there.

4. You didn't have to watch it.

The season gets underway in just over a month; let's have some predictions from everyone.

The Alonso/Ferrari combo finally claiming the WDC.
Red Bull winning the WCC.
McLaren winning races and equally as fast as RBR and Ferrari, but Button and Hamilton taking points off of eachother, thus compromising their campaigns.
Mercedes much closer, but still lacking; Schumacher and Rosberg podiums.
Grosjean surprising everyone and matching Kimi, often beating him.
Hulk and di Resta equally matched.
Williams; best of the rest.
Caterham's first points.
Marussia's final season.

What I hope:

Hamilton or Button taking the WDC
BBC getting double Skys viewing numbers :)

What I think:

Vettel taking the WDC
Red Bull taking the WCC
Ferrari off the pace again
Grosjean and Kimi being slower than their teammates

The rest I kinda match yours

Caterham will score at least 1 point.
Grosjean will outscore Kimi. Kimi goes back to ice cream and retirement.
Massa will lose his seat at the end of the season, replaced by Webber.
Schumacher re-retires at the end of the season, replaced by Di Resta.
Bianchi takes 2013 drive at FIF1 (Ferrari in 2014).
Merc solid 4th with a handful of podiums.
Force India best of the rest.
HRT beat Marussia (again).
McLaren WCC.
Alonso WDC.
Massive disagreement between teams over RRA and Concorde Agreement, Ferrari threatens break away series.
Hispania have 4 different drivers during the season.

PREDICTIONS:

A midfield team wins a race. Yes. Seriously.
Schumacher announces he'll retire at season's end halfway through the season. Di Resta takes his place.
Ferrari gives Massa the boot, hires Perez as his replacement.
Caterham gets their first points
HRT makes slow progress
Austin turns out to be awesome and brings interest to F1 in the U.S. finally
Ferrari and Lotus struggle
Vettel gets WDC #3, but not in blowout fashion like 2011.
McLaren steals the WCC.

Vettel champion again, red bull champions again. Button > Hamilton again. Massa gone at end of season. Mercedes won't gain ground, kimi vs Schumacher will be a fun mid field battle.

This mirrors my predictions right now as well.

You wouldn't be saying that if it had Kimi all over the screen.

that's a different story :p

woow you got me there.. especially point 4.. you're so cool man!

I will answer you're Q "why not?". What I think is that those events are not mega events like they used to be. They're not as fun they're not as glamorous and all caused by the "cost-saving" the F1 is going through. 'm sure that the collective cost of these mini-launches would merit for a decent in-season testing time for the teams that FiA should allow back. IMHO I think that would make more sense and would be more fun and will actually add to the sport

But again, I "didn't have to watch it" so I have no right to express my opinion

Son I am disappoint but not suprised. The rumours of money issues and car/chassis problems must have been true.
Need those rupees...

Yeah, ugly as sin. I wonder if they'll revise that nose or not (if they can even) We'll see at the start of the season to see how the McLaren will fare against the others but it'll be super interesting to see for sure :D

It's beautiful. ;)

It's disgusting.

But I still love it like my own car, because it just needs to be fast and beat the crap out of the RB8 and MP4-27. If it's capable of doing that, I won't care.

They can get uglier than this!

The Caterham is still uglier, imo.

Any pics of the Force India?

That Ferrari... that's not actually it, is it? I mean, am I being gullible for thinking it's real?

Also, does this affect us?

Edit: That FI almost looks awesome, if it wasn't for the fucking hideous "Sahara" branding.

Have there been any pics of the STR yet? I'm curious to see what our boy Ricciardo will be beasting it in. Hopefully a good number of top 10s, maybe even a top 5 or two.

Predictions?

Webber remains God.

Fin.
PS. Love you.
