These things are amazing. 8 servings of fruits and vegetables packed into this tiny little bar. It tastes great too, and has the texture of fruit leather.

It has 20 different vegetables and fruits including: Apple, Carrot, Spinach, Alfalfa, Cabbage, Broccoli, Kale, Wheatgrass, Celery, Rosehip, Parsley, Cauliflower, Cucumber, Beets, Bell Pepper, Collards, Watercress, BokChoy, Tomato, Garlic, Natural Fruit Flavors. May contain one or more of the following natural fruit concentrates: Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, Blackberry, Grape. And it still tastes AWESOME.

From their website:

With ReBAR, you're getting organically grown greens, harvested at their nutritional peak, processed within two hours into the main ingredient of Rebar, a deep green powder. The processing of these greens is kept below 88 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure none of the living enzymes your body needs are harmed. What this means is that when you bite into a ReBAR you are biting into greens that are 95% nutritionally intact. One ReBAR exceeds the minimum requirements set forth by both the American and Canadian Cancer Societies. Both of which recommend a minimum of 5 servings of fruit and vegetables per day, ReBAR has eight servings packed into each bar. No other Energy / Snack bar can make this claim. Infact, even if you ate the equivalent servings of vegetables and fruit from your local grocery store you would probably not match Rebar's nutrient level.

More specifically, the ingredients in ReBAR are non-pasturized, high in chlorophyll, and a potent source of antioxidants and other health supporting components. Such components are: Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, iron, Potassium, Calcium, Beta-Carotene, and trace minerals. All this and only 1.1 grams of fat in each bar.

These bars taste absolutely GODLY. It's a shame they're so friggin' expensive, but damn they're good. Far better tasting than 99% of the fruit/health bars on the market. Mmmmm.

the only thing bad about them that i've seen is that they use a lot of starchy vegetables, thats probably where a lot of the sugar comes from. But still that looks mighty tempting. I found a box for 26 bucks i might get one just to try. I dont have time to cook vegatables or eat fruits. So this might help me.

It really is awesome. I've got an insane schedule, and it really helps to be able to get all the nutrition I need in such a convenient little package.

I'm interested. I already eat grapes and strawberrys for breakfast, but I'd like to give this a try. I hope HEB has em.

Wendo: Thank you very much for posting this. I now think very highly of you.

I plan on checking this out as I hit up Whole Foods/Trader Joes tomorrow.

Keep cool my friend.

They're $1.89 where I work (Food Co-op). You can buy cases online too.

That's not too bad. I've occassionally bought protein bars that cost at least that, although not so often anymore. And if it's really packed with that much vegetabley and fruity goodness and still tastes good, I think it's worth it.

It's worth it, it really is. And it tastes sooo much better than just about every "energy" bar out there.

All veggies and most fruit? Did you parents only feed you one thing as a child?
I can't imagine not liking corn, not liking green grapes, not liking apples, not liking green beans, not liking peas, not liking strawberries or bananas.

I don't know how you can live like that.

Jesus... I feel so... dirty for agreeing with you...

But yes! I'm big on the fruits and veggies. Every morning for breakfast I have a four fruit smoothie, small salad and soup for lunch, and then a big salad and some pasta and veggies for dinner. I dunno how much weight I've lost since starting this about a month ago, but I've lost more than 2 inches off my waist.

That's impressive. The switch from crap food to fruits, veggies, pasta, and chicken helped me drop weight so ridiculously fast. In a few months I lost 6 inches and 70-75 lbs. Ate some good tastin shit along the way, too.

I will have to look into these.

If they make one that packs all the caffeine of a 12-pack of pepsi into one bar, that's all I'd ever need to eat.

Wow, thanks for the info. I need to head out and look for some this weekend. Any idea if Trader Joes carries them?

I'm not sure, but there's a pretty good chance.

For that price you can just buy a bag of real fruit. Tie 'em to your legs or something and lose weight even faster while you walk

Where can you buy eight servings of organic fruits and vegetables for $2.25?

Has anyone found these in the States? I went to both Trader Joes and Whole Foods to no avail. Might just have to order online...

Isn't the recommendation to have about 8 servings of fruits and vegatables -throughout- the day? I'm no nutritionist but isn't having that much at once a waste? Your body can only handle a certain amount at a time and the excess will turn to fat (?).
